We have already smelled this perfume
It's Boss The Scent Elixir, but sweeter, leaning toward a baking vanilla, peppery, and lasting and projecting less. Yes, it's also cheaper, but you expect more, at least I do.

I was expecting maybe that overt yet nonexistent lemon to accompany that sweetness. Or maybe I was expecting it to be more metallic and not so earthy. Or maybe much more amber. I was expecting a lot from something with such a cool bottle, but so-so. Hey, it smells good; it's not a challenging scent, one of those where you have to explain the Cambodian oud notes and weird things like that, but it's missing something more.

Its evolution is: pepper, some licorice perhaps, sandalwood, and a lot of sweetness and earthiness. As for the lava note, well, it gives a warm sensation, but luckily or unfortunately, it doesn't smell like sulfur. That pepper projects heat for about 2 hours at most, then comes down to skin-deep heat for exactly 9 hours.

In short: a cheaper, caffeine-free alternative to what's already out there. As a gift, you're sure to be a hit with your nephew.

Big Cap, Nothing Behind It?
The special award for the largest bottle cap in the mainstream sector undoubtedly goes to Primo by Trussardi. One wonders whether this is a waste of resources or possibly an added value, as the cap could easily be used as a drinking cup afterwards. Chic is something else.

But how about the essential part, the scent? Primo begins with a nearly viscous warm sweet eruption that seems to engulf you. Maple syrup has a more caramel-like quality, while lava is olfactorily indefinable for me, but sounds highly interesting in the DuPy. What surprises me, however, is a slightly bitter-nutty note at the beginning that reminds me of walnuts. Quite unusual, raising the question of how intentional and target group-oriented this passage is.

Shortly after, Primo returns to the usual mushy sweetness with hints of tonka bean and heavy woody notes. Free from synthetics, the scent cannot speak for itself, but it doesn't weigh negatively either.

As a conclusion, I would say that Primo reminds me from the heart note of a mix between Eros Flame and Centaurus, then drifting towards Spicebomb in the base note. Personally, it doesn't entice me much from behind the volcano, but the younger crowd should celebrate it. Perhaps Trussardi's image has somewhat flattened over time, maybe it's due to the lack of presence in perfumeries or the previous ignorance of influencers - or the not entirely coherent overall package.

Beautiful idea, ugly execution
Starts incredibly sweet, to which an unpleasant synthetic sharpness and spiciness mix in.
Only the base notes combined with the spiciness make the fragrance wearable.

I find the idea interesting, however, the sweet sharpness does a poor job, and unfortunately, the top note just makes me feel sick.
I find the fragrance interesting precisely because of its sweetness and exaggerated spiciness, and I want it in my collection, but I wouldn't recommend it to untrained noses (which I still belong to).

Sillage and longevity are quite good, but I believe few will really enjoy this fragrance.

The bottle, on the other hand, is a 10 out of 10 for me. It looks beautiful and special and fits perfectly with the lava theme.

With Friends and ...
... a guide in Sicily, we hiked up Mount Etna. There, you can feel the warmth of the volcano. Once at the top, you have a wonderful view over the island and the sea. The sea breeze reaches you even up on the mountain. When we returned to the base, we found a small bar and enjoyed an espresso and a local wine there. We were exhausted but satisfied.

When applying this fragrance, the nose experiences a veritable volcanic eruption of warm spices (which are not listed in the fragrance pyramid), blending with mineral notes, the warmth of the lava, and the sweetness of maple syrup, underscored by the citrus freshness of grapefruit. The tonka bean adds even more sweetness, which combines with the spiciness of allspice and light floral notes. Woody accords follow, and the patchouli darkens the perfume. Initially, it is strongly warm and spicy, then fruity, and becomes lighter and spicier again with woody notes. It has a strong masculine vibe.

The longevity and sillage are good.

Here we have a masculine men’s fragrance that I see as suitable for those aged 25 and up. I cannot imagine this scent on younger men. It can be worn well on almost any warm day. For the office or other work environments, I would apply it a bit more gently. For going out, it can be sprayed more generously. It has a certain potency that can stand out against sweet, strong scents. I don’t really see it on women, although that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t give it a try.

What I don’t understand is the somewhat negative criticism of this fragrance. Trussardi has done something different here that is not commonplace. Personally, I have fallen in love with this scent and find it really good; it stands out without being off-putting. Violaine Collas has created a fragrance that is easy to wear yet still noticeable.

If you enjoy a warm, spicy, woody, and slightly fruity-fresh scent with a hint of sweetness, this is the right choice for you. Men, give it a try; it is definitely worth it. If you look around, you can also find it at a reasonable price.

Almost right.
No, unfortunately I don't have a song for you today.
Although… Something from Volbeat would probably fit. Schlager x Hard Rock.
I don't like the band, that's why.
A bit of a shame. I'm not a huge Trussardi fan when it comes to perfumes. The first one in the snake skin bottle was really good. Otherwise? I've forgotten.
So. I won 100ml at BIPA. I haven't opened it. I went to test it.
Boys and girls, you were really so close to being good. See title.
Why maple syrup? Just to be original? The scent would have been really cool if it weren't for this penetrating sweet note that clings like a whiny, screaming little child almost until the end, only to finally fade away at the very end. Only then does the scent become interesting. Lava? Yeah, okay. All good. Smoky, spicy notes push back against the sweetness early on, initially in vain. Only towards the end do they destroy the overwhelming sweetness.
Such a shame. This could have been pretty cool with moderate smoke, beautiful Chypre spice, and modern interpretations of old school elements. As mentioned in the statement, somewhere there were ideas from Italian Cypress and "Hot Water (Eau de Toilette) | Davidoff."
But no. You have to cater to Gen Z/Alpha. Ergo? Sweet.
What a pity. It could have almost been really laid-back. If only you had left out the damn sweetness.
Like I said. Almost right.
But hey! Bomb-proof longevity! That's important too. I think. These days.
Ah, one more thing. Super-stylish bottle. Not that it makes a difference. But it is pretty.

Starting with a harsh mineral opening, you understand this is a unique scent fast. Once it start to dry it becomes a lovely journey. 10/10

This is the father of Terre D'Hermès EDP Intense. Both average with a synthetic compound that ruins the whole thing for me.

Trussardi shows that designer mainstream doesn’t have to miss the mark: sweet fruity start, then better with patchouli and a smoky note.

Grapefruit-Tonka-Sandalwood-Patchouli I can sense that. Gives me YSL vibes. Nice scent, but also kind of nothing new. Moderate sweetness.

Sharp fougère scent. A very light sweetness at first drizzled with chili. Patchouli adds an earthy touch in the background.

This scent is, at first, a volcanic eruption of warm spices that then transforms into fruits. A great fragrance.

Not a bomb, as initially suspected: Sweet but subtle, dry-woody, sharp tingling, surprisingly rounded, although quite synthetic in feel.

I think it's great for the price, something different with a bit of spice :)

Okay. Interesting. Somewhere between Italian Cypress and Hot Water with maple syrup. Very sweet, later smoky/spicy. Not uninteresting.
