The little (currant) dream
Mini Dream is one of the affordable fragrances from the French house of Ulric de Varens.
They are probably designed for the small budget and are actually quite practical if you need a cheap everyday fragrance without great demands, which you can easily put in your handbag when you're on the go.
I don't like taking large bottles with me and filling expensive fragrances into small plastic tubes isn't my thing either. I prefer to apply them at home.
And because Ulric de Varens has some really great fragrances that I love and I even have several bottles of them in my stash, I'm not averse to this brand and like to try out one or two fragrances. For the price, there really isn't much to lose.
And there really are worse fragrances out there...
My favorites from Ulric de Varens are Cotton Musk, Musk Patchouli and Mini Musk.
I love these three..
Back to the Mini Dream:
Mini Dream is a sweet fragrance, but its sweetness is still bearable. As with all sweet fragrances, you should avoid applying too much.
At the beginning I can smell the blackcurrant and I think this note remains until the end.
I also detect a hint of mandarin. Overall, the fragrance has a sweet and sour fruity note.
This is followed by sweet, fruity honeysuckle, which fits well into the round dance, and warm jasmine flowers The base is warm with musk and patchouli, but not too dominant.
The longevity is around the medium range. I usually like it when fragrances last longer, but with sweet canidates, a medium longevity is enough for me.
I think less is often more here.
Mini Dream is not the best fragrance from Ulric de Varens, but it's okay if you like blackcurrant scents.
