Not America,
but a late summer in the England of a Jane Austen novel comes to my mind. First, this unusual clove-rose, the image of a wild garden of an old cottage, right in close proximity to the coast, sending a light, salty breeze. It is still warm, autumn is just around the corner, the sweetness of summer has given way to the slightly bitter and amber note of the dry coastal greenery. I think of quiet romance, introverted and unexcited infatuation, adoration of the rose and appreciation of naturalness. Definitely not mainstream.
