Double-Edged Iris
At first, a beautiful floral opening, creamy-clean iris along with citrus and lily join hands... but then... it becomes sharper, woodier, cedar and musk take the stage. The initial delicacy is barely felt anymore. When oud and patchouli serve the final course, it's over for me. So gained, so lost!
On the skin, a scratchy-woody scent remains, which stifles the main part of the charm of the top note. If I could, I would extract the first minutes of the fragrance from the bottle and quarantine the rest.
