Widian's expectations are too high. Quite solid, not overwhelming
This new release from Widian is definitely a success, even if for me it doesn't quite come close to the brand's major highlights.
The "smoky jasmine tea" at the beginning is pleasant and immediately reminded me of Matsukita, but with a dustier, earthier note that brings to mind the arid expanse of the desert.
The oud is subtle and slightly smoky, never too strong or overpowering.
What I particularly like is the balance - the woodiness remains present, but is softened by the floral heart note with white flowers. This combination of depth and lightness makes the fragrance versatile and wearable.
Widian has captured the atmosphere of the desert well here: dusty, warm and with a hint of floral freshness that acts like a breeze. Nevertheless, I miss the wow effect that I have felt with other fragrances from the brand. The fragrance is beautiful, high-quality and coherent, but for me it remains solid rather than impressive.
As with many others, however, expectations are always very high with Widian. Of course, this is the house's downfall, especially with this fragrance. The fragrance is quite successful and independent. I like it :)
Overall, a successful composition that deserves an 8/10.
