Certain masculine
Amazing masculine opening, smooth and unique, instant home bringer but it's not a classic. Different Mint than the fresh bright Granada Mint, more of a Mint Noir type situation, irresistible with solid calm to it, surely not conceived to be obsessively used. Serious, important, ellegance galore, the most non broad appealing from the Black line, initially, year later understanding the perfection of it more and more. Sophisticated, got layers to it, drydown is something else on this. Personally kept III and IV like for the later purchase, on a *save the best for later* tip? Worth the waitness trough the roof.

Ataya
The tea ceremony with mint in the Orient is not that old. At some point in the 18th century, it spread over trade routes and with colonization, and has since become part of the hospitality culture, especially in North and West African countries. And just as this "almost" new tradition represents a blink of an eye in the millennia-old cultural history of the Arab peoples, AJ Arabia's - Black Collection III also presents itself as very modern, with solid, traditional roots. In a very beautiful way.

Immediately after spraying, the velvety, woody, soft AJ Arabia DNA sets out to conquer my heart (and nose). The more of AJ's fragrances I get to know, the more I am pleased that there is such a thing as a fingerprint. Recognizable. Distinct. Oriental. Beautiful.

In this collection, classic oriental and modern aspects and accords are skillfully combined. So skillfully that I do not get the impression of an interpretation leaning towards a theme, but rather Black Collection III fits in as an independent fragrance within the Black Collection.

Almost ethereal, the main player, the mint, pushes its way into the scene shortly after. It immediately reactivates in me that image, stored memories from my youth, of a tea ceremony in the Maghreb. Instantly, those scents are there and pull me back through decades in time. The tea was too sweet. But that was how it was meant to be. Presumably, the Targi wore jeans and a shirt under his wide, traditional robe. Much "more worldly" than the conveyance of tradition in that moment would suggest. It has definitely made its way into my long-term memory.

This scent backdrop at Ataya - oriental-spicy meets with nanamint and connects the times. That is AJ Arabia - Black Collection III.

I can recommend this fragrance to anyone who generally likes oriental scents. Black Collection III offers a special fragrance experience that is both fresh and yet oriental. Exciting.

For connoisseurs of the collection: Black Collection III is difficult to compare with other fragrances in the series. Too distinct for a real closeness to another fragrance, as with Gold II and Black IV, to be discernible.

So, take a seat. Your tea is already waiting for you.

Relaxed in the Bedouin Tent
Normally, I don't focus much on the topic of compliments in my reviews. Everyone can think what they want about it - for some, it's the main reason to acquire and wear fragrances, while others couldn't care less about the opinions of those around them, and for some, I feel it's pure wishful thinking that can't really be pinpointed.

I wouldn't necessarily classify Black Collection III, or at the time Arabia III, as a compliment monster, but it is quite significant how many positive reactions it elicits. The fragrance doesn't have an oriental sensual aura; instead, it behaves like a relaxed Bedouin tea ceremony with its gentle mint.

You sit on old, wooden furniture with seats made of stretched leather. In the dim tent, narrow beams of light break through the slightly dusty air filled with small particles of sandalwood and patchouli, emanating from incense, mixing with green notes and a hint of vanilla. This creation appears to me in a similar way, just in a subtle manner.

Black Collection III is neither a brutal blockbuster nor a classic tea scent, but it is a smart statement with excellently outfitted Arabic character. Not everyone has to wear it, in my opinion, but it's still a shame that it flies so much under the radar.

Rêve d'Arabie...
A song of the desert and I am the newly named queen...
A beautifully crafted sandalwood box with bas-relief filled with the finest citrus fruits, high-quality essences and spices, velvety leather garments, and the best teas from the Far East - these are the gifts I receive for this ceremony.
A poem that moves my soul, this fragrance, it transports me to another dimension and only now does the journey begin...
My Grail!

Moldy and Green
I really wanted to test this fragrance, as it is said to bear a certain resemblance to Aoud Lemon Mint by Mancera. Aoud Lemon Mint is one of my favorites for summer evenings, but unfortunately, it is no longer that easy to find. Whether this is a worthy substitute, I will reveal to you now.
A light freshness in the opening is provided by the bergamot, which is accompanied by mint. However, the mint does not contribute to a fresh note; no, in this case, it gives the fragrance a green note right from the start. The woody notes also make their presence known quickly. The bergamot is no longer perceivable after a very short time and is replaced by a leathery note.
Unfortunately, I did not like the top note of the fragrance at all; over time, it did appeal to me more and more, but it couldn't blow me away, and a large part of this was due to the moss. This, in conjunction with the wood, gives the fragrance a moldy note, which I really do not like at all.
Unfortunately, I do not recognize a great similarity with Aoud Lemon Mint, so my search for a worthy successor will have to continue :D

Fresh and somewhat powdery-sweet at the same time: minty citric freshness meets slightly sweet vanilla and woody notes.

The mint is present, but softened by the bergamot. With the patch, it soon develops into a warm, woody-oriental fragrance. Nice.

Starts with a sweet peach sun over black, smoky earth. Then the scent soon fades into subtle bergamot musk clouds.

Green mint is (too) delicate and soft. Somewhat sandy, leathery, mossy. Very nice and unremarkable.

Wood and sharp mint: not much more happens here, but it has its charm: oriental peppermint tea in a wood-paneled tea shop.

Tea time in the wood-paneled room. Infusion enriched with mint, everything else fades a bit. Unobtrusive and low-key.
