Nothing but class here my friends. If you dont have the money, rob someone that wont press charges-lol The open of the Fresh citrus, calabrian lemon, grapefruit, and bergamot are as real as it gets in the niche perfumery world. The middle notes of lavender flowers, damascene rose, white flowers, florence iris are so light that when the scent drifts into your nose it makes you feel just wanting more & more. Well dont worry about the wanting aspect because the base of sandalwood, cedarwood, Amber and musks will make you feel unstoppable to anyone in your path. The ladies will remember you for many days and nights- Trust Me! 10/10 bigtime!

I have to admit that the trail this perfume leaves behind is more heavenly than evil...
The citrus opening is sophisticated, slightly sweet and very refined, taking the wearer clearly into niche perfumery territory. The journey continues with a transition to a delicate but well-defined floral phase, in which the notes gradually emerge and remain in the composition for the longest part of the olfactory experience. The base is slightly woody, without ever losing the citrus and floral notes of the previous phases.

The staying power is excellent and lasts for 6/8 hours.

I think I leaned more towards the masculine side, but definitely towards a delicate and gentle masculinity. No aggression here...

a true gentleman's scent

Who was Mephisto? (or Mephistopheles) : An extremely tall man, completely dressed in black. A figure holding his red book, on which appear the signatures of the people who sold their souls to him.
One of his most famous ‘appearances’ is surely the one in Goethe's Faust.
Mefisto is a fragrance that initially opens sour, but then gives way to soft, juicy citrus, very pleasant: a true gentleman's scent yes, but one that looks just as good on a woman.
I really liked it, I find it elegant and charming at the same time, gentle but with a great personality.

An elegant lavender-rose perfume with a green-citrus opening. Highly recommended.

Xerjoff Mefisto is a delightful green-citrus floral perfume, with a dominant rose accord.
This review is based on a full bottle that I bought after testing a sample from Xerjoff. I rate Mefisto as one of the best citrus florals available, though it leans more floral than citrus. It was designed by Jacques Flori, who created many of Xerjoff’s classics such as Nio and Fiero. He has also made perfumes for Jovoy, some of which (e.g. Psychedelique) are my favorites.

I am amazed how beautiful the opening citrus notes are. It is more green than other citrus scents because of the bergamot, but this green is tempered by other brighter citrus notes (lemon and grapefruit). However, it is the lavender in the opening that makes Mefisto special and differentiates it from a typical fresh citrus scent. The floral notes from the middle jump in very quickly, running over the opening citrus. But everything is kept harmonious. The middle floral notes in Mefisto are rose and iris, not the white floral notes that typically come with other green citrus perfumes. The citrus notes subside in a few hours on the skin, allowing the floral notes and lavender to dominate. This rose really dominates and defines the personality of this perfume. The base notes - amber, musk, cedar and sandalwood - are subtle and harmonious, as the base notes tend to be weaker in intensity. So, I hesitate to call this a woody scent.

The longevity is very good with more than ten hours on the skin, and a little bit more on clothes. Mefisto shows very good sillage, a common characteristic of most Xerjoff scents. This will work fine in the office setting but remember to spray a few hours ahead.

In summary, this is an affordable citrus-lavender-rose perfume, yet it is very versatile. I like to rotate it with Nishane Colognise to enjoy the similarity and contrast. Colognise is similar but the dominant floral notes are lily of the valley and neroli. I strongly recommend Mefisto if you are looking for a lavender-rose perfume.

[1] - MEFISTO : THE FAIRYTALE IS REAL

- The last time I repurchased some my top perfumes of my humble collection, such as (Hacivat by Nishane), I noticed that its performance was no longer the same as before, which made me, feel disappointed.

- I will not go into long details of the madness and suspicion that I bought a fake product and how I got over it.

- But with my recent discovery of Mefisto, it made me realize that nothing worthwhile comes easy, it was a reward after so many disappointments, it really is worth the money I paid for it.

[2] - TWO THINGS ARE RUNNING THROUGH MY MIND NOW:

- The first thing: I have to buy a backup bottle of Mefisto before it changes and becomes like the rest that changed in its performance.

- The second thing: despite the high rating for Mefisto, I still find it much underrated, it’s not hidden gem, actually it’s unseen gem

[3] - WHAT ABOUT MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH MEFISTO?

- The beginning of the first wearing was so perfect, as I had to move a lot in several vehicles at that time because my car was under maintenance, also walking in the open air and under the heat of the sun.

- truly I was amazed by the great performance with those fresh whiffs that keep coming on and going back like sea waves on the beach.

- Guys...wait a second, it's not about that Mefisto is reinventing the wheel; the matter is: How many times we've got misled, deceived and disappointed by these fancy design bottles with magnetic caps.

- Some of my free fall became more painful when my expectations were too high based on overhyped ratings, even some experiences were about to make me lose my passion about perfumes.

- I don’t think repeating the same reviews is good idea by describing how the is the opining start to the dry down, simply, it’s a powerful, long lasting, joyable, high quality fresh scent, I know it sounds crazy but with Mesfisto the fairytale is real.

- TBH I can’t wait to try: 1- Tygar by Bvlgari + 2- Percival by PDM = 3- to compare them with Mefisto
