Bitter sweet symphony

Very nice round thing, these first 5 minutes of the new dark berry fragrance from Yves Rocher. It reminds me a lot of the aforementioned track by The Verve and doesn’t last much longer, which I extremely regret. If it had more staying power, I would buy it and take it as a budget-friendly substitute for the old bittersweet classic from YSL - In love again (vintage). As it is, it can’t hold a candle to it, even though both hit the same note: dry like a good sparkling wine, sparkling and bitter, yet subtly dark-fruity. Genius, this mix. Not sticky, but refreshing. Not artificial, but very close to a natural berry cocktail. Why Yves Rocher is releasing this fragrance as part of the Xmas editions is beyond me. I would use it on warm summer nights and feel like I’m under a tree full of unknown, possibly poisonous, exotic berries in the rainforest, drawn to their enchanting scent just as magically as a wildly flitting hummingbird that has lost control. Unfortunately, the intoxication lasts far too short.

Harvest Time with Uncle Üffe

Sometimes it's the simple things that make you happy.
For example, a bowl filled with freshly harvested blackberries. Juicy and shiny, straight from the bush. A sprinkle of sugar on top and then enjoy.
In this way, this Eau de Toilette is.
Berry fruity, a little sweet, but a light fruity acidity peeks through.
As mentioned in the comment by Vitaminc, this is not the reinvention of the wheel, but a fruity, slightly sweet companion for sunny autumn days.
The longevity is surprisingly good; I can perceive it very well throughout the day.
Spray it on and nibble with your nose.
I love it.

Cassis Lemonade

Whenever we are in Oberhausen and need to recharge for our upcoming shopping tour, we go to the pancake house. Or better, Pannekoekenhuis.
I have a weakness for pancakes, whether savory or sweet. And I also have a big weakness for cassis lemonade, which I first drank there.

Fruits Noirs/Blackberries smells exactly like this cassis lemonade at the first spray. And for a fraction of a second, you really think, "Can I drink it too?" It really smells fruity and sweet.

As I said, I like cassis lemonade, but do I want to smell like it? The scent calms down after a few minutes and becomes a little woody. However, it doesn’t undergo a significant change.

The sillage is very close to the body, so you only notice it when you stick your nose to your wrist.

As for longevity, I’m torn. I could swear that I even perceived Fruits Noirs the next day. Although very faint, the scent was there.

In summary, I can say that while Fruits Noirs doesn’t reinvent the wheel, it doesn’t hurt anyone either. And for the price, it’s at least worth a try.
