well without an expiration date
The last time I rummaged through the small pouch with the miniatures, I noticed the Eau de Parfum "Nature" by Yves Rocher. Hadn't I already commented on the Eau de Toilette?
I had, and I wondered why I could completely forget or overlook the stronger, slightly altered creation according to the fragrance pyramid?
So the miniature was taken out, and - lo and behold: it was still full!
Curious, I wanted to open it, but the little stopper didn’t want to budge. In the end, I won the little duel and was quite amazed:
This enchanting scent seems to have remained unchanged over the years.
A thick bundle of fully bloomed freesias sits radiantly in its leafy nest and is caressed by fresh mandarin and a lovely, slightly cheeky spring scent (could that be the leatherleaf?).
Thus, the fragrance entry sits cheerfully and proudly until the two white (not universally loved) beauties jasmine and lily of the valley conquer the fragrance field.
As is well known, both are not shy about releasing their aromas, but here, together with the top note, they spread the magic of late spring and early summer.
Early roses (le prime rose), still with a certain innocence, join in. Their scent is not too heavy, too sensual and erotic, but summer-light and very graceful.
A little, their scent reminds me of the charm of yellow tea roses; I wonder if the perfumers remained true to the delicate flower coloring?
This already early-summer buoyancy and natural elegance gets a special kick from peppermint; freshness spreads out, but does not dominate in this floral world.
I wonder if the stylized leaf on the bottle is one of the peppermint leaves.
I remember them being a bit slimmer and narrower; but mint varieties and leaves are not exactly rare, and perhaps this leaf doesn’t belong to this fragrance idyll at all.
Cedar finally underscores the spicy-aromatic mint addition and rounds off a summery fragrance pleasure.
A strikingly well-dressed fragrance lady has now developed and remains pleasantly true to the skin for some time.
As with many of the fragrances from this brand from the nineties, this Eau de Parfum also reveals how much care went into its composition.
Nothing is bombastic, loud, or unrefined: "Nature" is also a beautiful feminine being as an EdP, deserving of more attention than it has received from me so far.
(Shame on me! I am ashamed!)
Perhaps this little bottle had to rest in the darkness of forgetfulness for so long until I could truly appreciate its contents.
For I have found a little treasure here; even though autumn is already peeking around the corner, the image of an early summer landscape unfolds from a single drop of "Nature".
Here, the name is program: nature determines the fragrance direction; frills and any artistic detours are left out.
So I am sure: the time to experience this nature in the form of the Eau de Parfum will come.
I will not forget this lovable being again.
