Again and again

In Love Again, this one the La Collection version. I bought it to layer with Kelly Caleche. They play nicely together being variations on a theme first explored with ILA, then petalled up for Rose Ikebana and then kid leathered up for Kelly Caleche.
Jean Claude Elena has stated that his Hermes perfumes are for day use, in keeping with the staple wardrobes of the fashion house. Let's not forget those Hermes scarves either. You can femme up for evening but it is good to reach for a perfect day fragrance.
Without resorting to Light Blah this reworking of YSL's "In Love Again" joins the fragrances that I will wear when playing with my grandchildren; that probably means skin to carpet and rusk smearings. Narciso Black, Pierre de Lune, Eau du Sud and In Love Again.

Visit to the Home with "In Love Again"

When I visit my father in the home, I usually apply a bit more perfume. I mentioned this in a comment before, that many residents feel cold because they can hardly move. For this reason, open windows are quickly closed again. My toothless admirer, who had a fondness for fragrances and particularly liked “Private Collection” and "Apercu" on me, is no longer with us, and my father tends to notice my appearance more: “You used to have nicer hair! Fix your collar.” Well, some things never change. So I apply generously whatever I feel like. Recently, before my visit to the home, I used a decant that has been in my collection for a while but, for some inexplicable reason (too much choice?!), has only been worn once. “In Love Again” by YSL, a fragrance by Ellena, who is a giant in the fragrance world and to whom we owe many enchanting scents.

An authentic, sweet mandarin envelops me and is tamed by my favorite fruit in fragrances, the blackcurrant. Here, it provides a fresh, slightly tart, and sparkling note, keeping In Love Again from being too sweet. Rose and peony join in only as a rosy whisper, while the fruits remain dominant. In the base, this friendly fruit basket is supported by light musk, which adds a slightly powdery and clean note. “In Love Again” is a cheerful, uncomplicated women's fragrance; the name says it all. Ideal for hot temperatures, but even now in autumn at 20 degrees, it’s still pleasant. Sillage and longevity are in the medium range.

By the way, my father noticed that I smelled delicious and immediately grabbed a mandarin from the fruit bowl. And my sand-colored denim jacket was also positively acknowledged: “I’d like one of those too,” scents make for a gentle atmosphere :o).

A Sorbet - not a Compote

"In Love again" stands out from all the YSL fragrances I have known so far. To my surprise, after the first test, I realized while categorizing it under "Collection" that I have it on my wish list. Why? Oh yes, it was created by Jean-Claude Elléna, whose fragrances always interest me, plus it’s an almost pure fruit scent. I have never been fond of fruit fragrances, no matter how beautiful and gourmand they may be.
"In Love again" is a lively, sparkling, and light spring and summer fragrance. I can definitely recommend a test to those who love fruit scents but don’t want to smell like red fruit compote.
"In Love again" starts with a light but very authentic mandarin scent and then continues to present delicate, barely sweet little fruits. But really, just like you can enjoy them in a fresh sorbet that moves in a sparkling fruit juice spritzer. I even like it. The black currant is very light; it seems to me that it’s just the floral aroma. But basically, I can’t really pick out the fruit notes individually, except for the initial mandarin. With a hint of subordination, I also smell an apple rose and hints of peony. Bright grapes contribute light green notes and a bit of sweetness. And what I particularly like: a hint of spiciness that gives the fragrance a very special note, possibly green pepper.
Even though I tried to dissect this fragrance, which I consider extraordinary, it stands strong in a very short time and has a very long lasting power, no matter how delicate and melting the scent may be. Musk, it must be the so-called white musk, is also extremely sparingly dosed.
A perfect spring and summer fragrance. "In Love again" is so far the only fruit scent that I like to wear, and I will also use the rest in the test spray.
"In Love again" is undoubtedly a typical J.-C. Elléna fragrance for me.
And yes, it is mainly a feminine scent, which I believe men should decide whether they find this light fruit scent wearable for themselves.

Blissfulness

"In Love again" - especially the unreformed version - is a delicate yet present, feminine and beautiful summer fragrance.
.
I am wearing it today and I constantly smell the rose around me, my beloved, slightly fruity blackcurrant and the slightly tart notes of blackberry and mandarin.
I only notice the musk now and then, more in a skin-close way.

Like a little butterfly, happily floating through the air, pausing briefly at every beautiful flower to take in the world around.

A moth gently flutters its wings
out into the light of the distance
softly carried by the summer wind
where longing and dreams abound...
Up and down in the sun's glow
the pair of wings rises high
cheerfully flying in warm currents
and jumping crickets chirp to you in chorus...

This fragrance is truly for lovers, those in love again, or those who would like to fall in love.
Okay, also for those who simply want to wear it.

It's Raining Grapes

I tested the fragrance without knowing the notes and it immediately reminded me of grapes.
When I then read about mandarin and blackcurrant in the top notes, I was confused for a second, but then I discovered grape in the heart note.
Because this is immediately and omnipresent after spraying, it is a true grape scent. Subtly sweet, crisp, and fresh at the beginning, then a bit more bitter (like a more bitter grape) until the roses come in and turn the whole thing into such a lovely rose-grape scent that I immediately think of a nostalgic garden where a half-rusted white swing bench with curls stands among flowers and fruit trees.
