For a good half year, the Eau de Parfum intense has been in my collection and has already been put to good use.
However, it didn't lead me to comment on it quickly, as it is one of my absolute favorites and is more multifaceted than I initially thought and felt.
Often, I feel fear and discomfort at not finding the right words to describe all sensory impressions as precisely and helpfully as possible. It borders on reverence; luckily, we are all subject to the same addiction and know the problem of not being able to "honor" one of our favorite fragrances enough and to appreciate its uniqueness.
It was one of those unforgettable back-and-forth moments during the first sniff. This was during the pre-Christmas season, tossing money around in the city, with this scent in the back of my mind. The bottle immediately convinced me, as did the fragrance pyramid and the scent classification. The elixir seems to have quite a bit going for it. By the way, this is the first flanker of Manifesto. Unfortunately, I don't know that one yet; I don't see it as a disadvantage, as it allows me to approach the flanker as a completely independent fragrance.
So I quickly visited the next perfumery and sprayed it on...Ooooaaaahhhh, what is that? A juicy, fresh mandarin greets me in a flash and is promptly washed away by a soft, creamy, powdery, opulent floral, oriental, gently spicy wave of vanilla.
With wide-open eyes, I stand there, lingering with my nose on my wrist and probably looking like a paralyzed rabbit, but I don't care. Somehow, this feels familiar, the milky, gentle, and creamy accord. I experienced a similar blend of white flowers on the finest sandalwood with Dangereuse from Sentifique. The fragrance pyramids hardly resemble each other, yet both can boast their delicate, feminine melt. So delicious, so intoxicating and subtly narcotic, definitely distant relatives, those two man-eater fragrances.
It was the latent similarity that forced the wicked want-it impulse upon me. Since then, the fragrance has been used quite often and continues to impress and delight me with its many passionate facets.
As already mentioned, the short, fresh, orange-fruity opening. A cheeky contradiction in itself, as it is followed by a voluminous sea of flowers, crowned by an intense, simultaneously confusing transparent, woody vanilla. A feast for the senses, an adult, sensual, and demanding gourmand with oriental accents.
Although it is quite a punch, it retains an airy lightness. Similar to a creamy calorie bomb that melts so outrageously tender and smooth on the tongue as if it were nothing. This unusual aspect makes the fragrance still wearable even in warm, humid temperatures. I like it very much and it continues to amaze me anew.
The characterful heart note lingers very long on my skin and has quite a hefty sillage. The woody and spicy accents ensure that the strong vanilla note does not drift into the trivial and that the floral notes do not dance too rebelliously. The fragrance comes across as radiant and self-assured, feminine nobility and sophistication, passion, eroticism, and obstinacy, paired with oriental, spicy warmth without being strict. Along with a mischievous wink and a provocative but never cheap hip sway. My personal essence of the fragrance.
The base lures with gentle, quiet, powdery, minimally spicy vanilla. The fragrance shifts down a few gears but remains ever-present. If somewhat more subdued. A woody, slightly smoky echo gives the base an exciting, dark twist.
A fragrance that always suits me, never feels overloaded or trashy with appropriate dosing. However, it is best suited for evenings or going out. A true magnet for compliments, sneaking in with this scent is nearly impossible.
When it comes to head-turning factor, it can easily measure up to Classique, Alien, and Code femme. It brings a hefty sillage and longevity and clearly has the potential to be a signature scent.
Definitely a candidate that must always be in my collection. Due to its intensity, transparency, and richness of facets. I am curious how many bottles will fall victim to me and whether there is any other fragrance that will dethrone the elixir.
