Earthy with mushrooms and cumin
Overall Sloth is pretty good. What I found interesting is the way it evolved as it dried down and beyond, although there weren't any sudden sharp turns. It does open kinda sharp and green. Then different notes would appear in the foreground for a while and then retreat a bit. Initially the chamomile and what I presume is the acai. Then in no particular order, cumin, jasmine, hay and mushrooms. Perhaps others as well, but my nose isn't that experienced.

Once it settled down (over an hour), it had an earthy/damp soil sorta smell, definitely got mushrooms. There was also another component that seemed to oscillate between fruity and floral. Nose to skin, there was a definite cumin accord but didn't detect that in the air. I really liked it, but if you have a problem with cumin, be careful. Because of the earthy damp smell, mushrooms and cumin, Sloth strikes me more masculine. Longevity was good. Was still going strong after 9 hours but projection and sillage were moderate.

In summary, for me, it's an OK. It didn't really wow. I was expecting fumes that were more powerful and with a more commanding presence, especially since it's Zoologist and a Lomros creation.

Synthetic
Piss note is insane when it's still wet on your skin. Reminds me of my grandma's cat infested basement. But then hay evens it out really quickly. You get moss pretty soon too - and I think it stays for the majority of the fragrance. Definitely develops slow and steady throughout the day. For some terrible reason it reminds me of a zurchers, party city, or thrift store. This weird nostalgic and musty tone. Spices kick in a little later and it starts to add this 'smokey' appeal to the hay/musk.

Unlike a lot of the reviews here I don't feel like I'm in a dense damp forest. Feels incredibly synthetic compared to a rainforest. Mulch? might be the best word to umbrella term the whole scent. Like you're walking through Home Depot's outdoor plant section. I'm for sure impressed by it but definitely not something I see myself wearing. Buy a sample if you get the chance.

a sweet sloth....
I can see my beloved Haxan's influence, but ultimately this is not the replacement I hoped it would be... Lomros successfully took out the witch and replaced her with a cute, lovable Sloth. Very talented work....

While it goes earthy and animaloc it somehow stays clean and wearable. Fruity, fougere-y, and sometimes minutely tropical (the shade of tropical that Bat is, not tropical beach). Dries down to a surprisingly typical masc profile. I like it.

An interesting, lovely offering to be interpreted on its own.

Very slothy
Weird…so so weird…but so so charming. This is such a fun take on a Sloth as inspiration and I feel it nails it. It’s distinctly funky in a wet animals fur in a humid jungle sort of way. The mushroom is vividly noticeable as well, that bouncy earthiness springing up in the opening, along with dry hays, herbal chamomile, and a very tart acai berry. The beeswax here pulls animalic, pissy even, but somehow you keep coming back to smell more even with all the funk present. I get virtually no sweetness despite the tonka and vanilla, but I think it would take away from the composition if I did. This dries down to a humid mushroom and oakmoss scent, with remnants of dry hays and waxy animalics.

Once again a zoologist, who I like all around. It happens often, but often also that I cannot do so much with them, because the idea of the animal can of course also bring something animalistic with it and at one point or another they overstimulate it with it. Tyrannosraurux Rex has therefore driven me out of primeval times and with Hyrax, a small shitting animal under the South African sun (I recommend the article Klippschliefer on Wikipedia for information about Hyraceum and its producers), the fun stopped with me. Squid was much too synthetic for me and that was a big disappointment, because I was really very curious about how they would olfactorically transform an octopus, because it is one of my favourite animals.
On the other hand, I liked Bat (old and new; I like to watch bats at night), as well as Rhinoceros and Chameleon (I only know them from the zoo, but I find both original as creatures), where the idea of the animal was congenially realized, and many others
So here's a sloth. And indeed, this time again almost everything fits: The green of the habitat in the tropical rainforest (associations vary between grass and hay), the fruits of the food (already a bit overripe fruit and leaves, but that's what sloths like), the earthy and mushroomy of the forest floor in South America, exotic flowers blooming around in the jungle, and the animalistic, which surely has such a shaggy creature in itself (cumin, nard, but everything in moderation, because sloths don't sweat much, because they don't move too much, as I heard).

This now reads almost more chaotic than it actually smells: In the top note, I briefly smell a few funny mushrooms, a soft, almost pale camomile, a lot of grassy and todays green, which is also becoming more and more dominant, a pleasant touch of animalism, no more than this drop of civet or castoreum in old fragrances, - to summarize this precisely for you again

A rather heavy, yet slowly shifting Mid season fragrance (from fruity/floral to spicy/floral), on a very complex, yet soft green-earthy base

Spiced chamomile tea. Overripe fruit. Earthy myrrh and frankinsence. It's a funky/cozy/warm cup of tea in the autumn. Absolutely beautiful.

Imagine a lazy day in a sun-drenched meadow, surrounded by calming chamomile, sweet hay and a touch of warm vanilla.

Cumin here is too much. Deep in the drydown this becomes fruity, myrrh kicks in, but you need to stomach the front end to get there, alas.

Starts off smelling like powdered clay masks; dry and herbal.
It does fade into a sharp and generic smelling men's cologne afterwards

Earthy lavender beeswax. I'm getting a menthol (oakmoss?) vibe. But let this testify to how complex of a fragrance this is. #sophistication
