I want to be where Elephant is
I liked Elephant the first few times I tried it, but now wholeheartedly LOVE it. On days I’m not wearing it, I still find myself reaching for the bottle to have a little sniff - it’s one of the most addictive fragrances I own.
At first, it was hard to get my head around this intriguing scent. Elephant is lush, green and grassy but at the same time sweet, dark, warm and dry. It’s like crunching on raw cacao nibs and dead tree bark, while being surrounded by dense greenery humming with live, somewhere deep in the jungle. It’s like two separate tracks playing at once that shouldn’t go together, but somehow create a perfect side by side harmony.
As it settles, the dry down turns soft and creamy, almost milky, with a woody warmth that feels like hugging the oldest, biggest tree in the rainforest. There’s something calming and grounding about it, like it's telling you that everything is going to be okay.
Elephant manages to evoke the feeling of different textures in one scent. Crunchy leaves, silky magnolia, rough bark, creamy coconut.. Elephant doesn’t just smell like a place, it feels like it.
