Off the sandy beach
In the course of an order I received the sample. The reviews and comments have not really let me hope for a great fragrance, aquatic-fresh-floral. On a competitor site, the similarity to the Ege of Nishane is described, which I found not bad, but also not outstanding.
Thus, my expectations were rather restrained.

Now to the Seahorse:

When spraying on I knew immediately why the fragrance is compared with the Ege. But after a millisecond I perceived something slightly repulsive in the background. Hmm what is that!

I did not have to think long.

Immediately vacations in childhood or teenage time with parents came to mind. One is bored on the beach, the parents read or sleep and one knows nothing to do with himself. Then comes the idea to go on exploration tour.
This exploration tour led us all but times at the edge of the beach, where small rocks make it clear, here is the beach to end.

There collects then yes usually everything possible from the sea. Various plant parts that have already dried up in the sun, unfortunately also garbage. Then gibts there but also the crabs that you like to hunt between the rocks as a child.
There is usually also earth between the rocks. Or sand. I do not know what that is exactly, but the color differs from the golden sand on the beach. This earth (or sand) is mostly moist and black. There hop mostly also so very small mosquitoes back and forth.

EXACTLY THAT is what you smell out at Seahorse.
I do not know which fragrance notes reproduce exactly this scent moment but it is simply brilliant!

I think, should there ever be a "crab" Zoologist, must have this fragrance component 1-1 in it. Then a bit dirty, sandy and salty.

After half an hour, this fragrance impression goes a little more in the background and the fragrance becomes much more harmonious and portable.

floral-fresh-aquatic-animalic-dirty.

The fragrance reminds me of those lonely moments on vacation where you are quietly to yourself on the edge of the sandy beach, away from the cheerful holidaymakers.
At the same time, however, also to the excitement that one feels as a child / teenager, when it goes on vacation to the sea.

For me just for this memory and fragrance association a candidate for purchase. In addition, it is a well portable Aquat with that certain something and twist.

Simply gorgeous summer perfume!
I new I must love it - tried it too in a colder weather and made a mark that this should be a beautiful summer fragrance - and it is. Unlike Squid (which has nothing in common with this one by the way) it is definitely for summer and it does not have those stones, pine and dark sea notes.

To me this starts like a gentle sea wave that brings white foam to your feet - some herbs (I cannot identify to be honest) give it fresh but not-trivial smell. Then it gets sweeter, like gingerbread cookies mix with the herbal accords. This is a very interesting and confusing phase when you would probably think - what is happening? :)
This probably could be a picnic near the beach maybe in spring, when the breeze already get warmer. Then I start getting a note of white wine and the sweetness starts fading. Actually this fading is the heart of this perfume, it last for about hour/hour and half. Generally I would not call this scent salty, it does not have salt, just a hint of freshness that associates with sea or water.

Then the scents gets fresher (which I find amazing actually that is goes from sweeter to fresher) and at this point I also get what people identify as "shaving foam" - but it is not unpleasant or manly, or "grandfather" - I love this still foamy effect of Seahorse, just the horse get more male.

Technically this is still the smell of clean body touched by ocean wind, that brings a bit of sea saltiness, it is mixed with herbs that grow on the shore, with evening freshness and clean, soap washed human skin.

Of course this comes in a gorgeous bottle, so it is pleasant to touch. This is a really dreamy perfume.
And yes the staying power is awesome, better than Squid actually, I could smell in _from skin_ in the morning, after good 8 hours of sleep.

Daily variation of the squid
Seahorse could also be seen as the lighter daytime version of Squid. If Squid is a stormy ocean, Seahorse is the gentle sandy beach in the sunshine.

For me, neroli is most present in combination with sage. The ambrette seeds and fennel make the fragrance soft and smooth. It also has a light creaminess that is somehow reminiscent of sun cream. The animalic notes are very limited here. However, you have to like neroli to like it.

This gentle floral note paired with a slight saltiness is reminiscent of the sea breeze and the slightly sultry air that you breathe in on the beach while the sun makes the sand glow. To me, this scent screams summer and vacation, which doesn't really make it versatile.

All in all, Seahorse is a beautiful, floral aquatic that I can imagine buying the bottle of at some point. I think it's also really hard to hate this fragrance, it's very pleasant and approachable. Longevity and sillage are okay, lasts about 7-8 hours

Authentic scent of sea and fresh air
I really like the Seahorse. Authentic associations with the sea and pleasant fresh air. Furthermore, it has that certain lightness.

First of all, the fragrance starts felt with a pleasant sea breeze or even ozonic notes. Both is not listed, but still you get the feeling that one of the two chords mentioned is here with it. Aquatic, fresh impressions per excellence.

Furthermore, a very slight florality is present. A really nice fennel accord, which is never too exhausting or smells unpleasant. Algae which give a super connections to the sea.

Admittedly, I had expected this fragrance more powerful. He is relatively mild tuned. But that will like think times also people who are not actually so on the sea scents.
For example, there is still the Acqua di Sale of Profumum Roma or the Salaria of Giardino Benessere.
from the range I must admit that I personally like the Acqua di Sale best. These fragrances are but a little stronger and I know some people who does not agree. The Seahorse could but exactly these people possibly yet convince.

Towards the end, the fragrance gets for me unfortunately a little more shower gel vibes. But I do not know if shower gel is the right word.
Would the scent progression in this case more linear, I would give a 8.

The performance is solid to good.
The fragrance does not hide, holds its time, but is also not a beast.

Perfect period for this fragrance is of course the summer or in a summer vacation by the sea.

breezy
The fennel and ambrette seed are the most prominent notes for me, with a bit of algae to remind you of the aquatic theme. There's something slightly herbal in the opening, too.
Overall the effect is creamy but with a bit of sharpness to it, would be nice accompanied by a fresh breeze while walking on the pier. I don't get any flowers, it's not a sweet perfume to me and the tiny tiny bit of marine cologne I'm getting makes this solidly unisex.

Sold it. Has a disgusting rotting raw dough accord that's hard to explain. Sweet, rotting bakery garbage and aquatic. Unwearable.

Fennel and green vegetal notes make me crave salad. This seems a bit tropical, a warm tide pool on an island off the coast of South America

Nice summery aquatic with funny start due to fennel but gets better after a few minutes with cardamom, clary sage and dark vetiver. I like!
