The perfect accident
I actually only bought my sample of Decembrie 89 to get free shipping at first, which I think is the best decision I have made with fragrances to date! It really was love at first spray which surprised me greatly as I expected this to be "just another good vanilla frag" but it really is (in my opinion) the perfect one!
To start, the citrus on top is completely lost on me, even knowing its meant to be there I cant smell it at all; however I genuinely believe this would have just made it a bit worse so I'm happy its not noticeable! Instead its just this divine vanilla and hazelnut gourmand pairing, that to me smells like being bundled up in a cosy blanket with a platter of the most wonderful of freshly baked pastries in front of you; the rum note makes it appearance as a slightly boozy almost chocolatey note, its really subtle when it has settled down a bit and just adds a bit extra of that "homey" feeling to it all. Its actually so incredibly smooth and intoxicating that I find myself smelling my skin constantly throughout the day just so I can keep feeling it, which practically never happens to me with fragrances!
It is really difficult for me to describe this fragrance in any deeper way than I have here, it would just boil down to me saying its "perfect" in 3 different ways if id have to continue.
