Perfekter oud duft für 6 euro???

Der ist auch noch ein eau de parfüm, einer der besten caline düfte die ich je hatte und das auch noch nur für 5,75 euro, ich hab es mir direkt gekauf, safe blind buy, auch wenn nur für 60ml kannst du dir sie einfach 3-5 holen, die bleiben euch auch bis 4 monate, also fast den ganzen Winter und herbst

Oud Gentleman

I am a somewhat older fragrance enthusiast, seasoned by many spicy, intense, individual scents from the 80s and 90s. Fragrances that are still available today - albeit partially neutered - ahem, sorry - reformulated. At least my preference for older/vintage/retro scents has the advantage of being able to acquire fragrance materials at a relatively low price today. Just look at the older Davidoff, Versace, Lagerfeld, or Burberry EdTs. Even better in terms of price/quality are old stalwarts like One Man Show by Bogart or the stunning Lapidus pour Homme from the good old Ted in Paris.

But enough with the old war stories, I just wanted to make it clear how I roll. With bottles over 80 euros for 100ml or less, you don't even need to come to me. No one here intends to fatten the greedy perfume industry with their money. My only bottle over the magical threshold of 100 euros is a 200ml bottle of Terre d'Hermes. It must always be on my bathroom shelf; otherwise, I feel completely naked. ;-)

Sorry for the off-topic, but somehow it belongs to the subject, as the new Oud Extreme is often compared to a Tom Ford. For the reasons mentioned, I’m out; for Uncle Tom’s price, I could feed my grandchildren for two weeks.

My comparison options include, for example, Lattafa Opulent Oud, the new Lattafa Oudain, Cristal Oud by Mauboussin, or even - although somewhat further in the fragrance pyramid - Mauboussin Star for Men.

And now I finally got to the new Caline: Oud Extreme can definitely hold its own against these fragrances! Not only that, I even claim that I like it almost the best compared to the aforementioned scents. It is indeed rounder, more balanced, more tolerable, and somehow "more pleasant." In fact, it feels more like a British gentleman compared to the somewhat brutal oriental fragrances. It has a nice spiciness, and the vanilla makes it softer. The leather from the fragrance pyramid is quite restrained, only very lightly perceptible.

I like the bottle: simple and straightforward, it fits well in the hand; the sprayer works flawlessly. I actually expect no more from a bottle. The embellishments and flourishes of oriental fragrances, for example, do not make a scent better.

And all of this at this unbeatable low price. Hard to believe! This autumn and winter, quite a bit of this Caline will probably flow over my skin. I even parked it next to my bottle of Terre d'Hermes for quick access. Not many have had that privilege!

Oud Woody by Caline!

Hello dear readers!

When I bought this fragrance today, I was very curious. There was absolutely no real information or reviews about it online, and you can hardly find it in a Rossmann or DM at the moment. Thank God (or Alhamdulillāh) I eventually discovered it in a Rossmann after a short search and took it with me immediately! However, it was a real blind buy, as I had no idea which direction it was going.

To make it short:

I own the original and therefore immediately knew which way the wind or the bottle was blowing. It is a dupe of a very well-known oud fragrance. On the back, it says "Woody" - and yes, that fits perfectly. Moreover, it is supposedly the first Eau de Parfum by Caline that has been specifically developed for men.

At first, you can briefly smell the alcohol, but that dissipates quickly. Compared to the original, it is not as intense and aggressive, which I personally prefer - this makes it significantly more suitable for everyday wear. It smells pleasant and at the same time strong, without being overpowering!

I can't say much about the longevity and sillage yet, but you can perceive it immediately, although less than the original, which stands out right away. I think the longevity and sillage will be around 7-8.

On my skin, I notice it more distinctly at first than on clothing, which is often the case with oud fragrances. However, it is of course not as sharp and detailed as, for example, Intensive Aoud by Mancera, but this fragrance is simply incredible for the price.

I am convinced that this fragrance will unleash its full potential, especially in colder weather and wind - like a dark coat that gives the man even more elegance and masculinity, enveloping him in oud!

Price/Performance WINNER

Well, for €5.75 there is no better perfume in this world. I am very sure of that. The scent is really very good, even the longevity and sillage are above average. Hopefully, this fragrance will be available for many years at this super fair price. And if you buy the scent blind, give it a chance and test it several times. At first, when I sprayed it on in DM, I didn't like it that much, but as I kept smelling my wrist throughout the day, I fell in love with this fragrance.

Oud naja, extreme nein. Schön Ja!

Still, a very beautiful scent that is an absolute no-brainer at this price for your next drugstore visit. For me, it’s a toned-down and more mass-appealing version of Oud Wood Eau de Parfum

The scent itself is very light, radiates subtly, and carries a spicy-peppery woodiness that slowly transforms into a very light vanilla for me after 2-3 hours and completely fades away after 4 hours.

I would see this scent most fitting for the office as well as for everyday wear since it is very unobtrusive and not strong but still smells quite elegant.

You don’t even need to talk about price-performance ratio with Câline, absolute world-class for the money. Highly recommended!
