Ikea Vanilla Scented Candles

Oh finally a tester of Vanilla No. 25 and also some product included. The vanilla wave makes the cash registers ring. Quickly did a test, more out of curiosity than desire to buy.

Immediately I was hit with an XXL dose of artificial vanilla. An overdose of jasmine was added as well. Uff, quite strong, and then everything else was pushed aside. Tonka supported with its scratchy flair. Burnt caramel also mixed in. No, this is not what I understand as a vanilla scent - somehow I just can't connect with Caline, except for one fragrance. There's something in it that doesn't excite me.

A little later at Ikea. In the scented candle department, where every woman seems to weaken, it smelled very strongly of Vanilla No. 25. No, it couldn't be that my wrist was scenting an entire section. No, it wasn't that either. The scent on my skin was quite weak by now, and only a little over an hour had passed. But the scent of the department and that of Vanilla No. 25 were almost identical. Even my better half thought so. Usually, he only distinguishes between smells good and smells bad when it comes to my fragrances.

Better than La Rive

I like it much better than the equivalent from La Rive because the jasmine note that bothers me so much is missing here. The longevity is surprisingly strong. I sprayed it on my wrists yesterday afternoon at Rossi, and this morning I could still smell it. It's not necessarily my scent, but those who like it will definitely be very happy with it!

My Girlfriend Vanilla

I am basically constantly on the lookout for THE vanilla perfume. I also own the big sister from Kayali and must say that Caline has done a good job. At the beginning, a slight alcoholic note is noticeable, but it fades away in a few seconds. Then comes the embrace. Warm and cozy. For me, the Cheapi has very good longevity and I smell the fragrance all day long. Definitely worth a purchase.

THE Vanilla for Layering

I first sniffed this fragrance in the drugstore and thought to myself, "Well, it's just like 'Vanilla | 28 (Eau de Parfum) | Kayali'." After I sold it because it was too boring for me, I left it aside for a while. "But it's not bad," I thought. Recently, with so many Kayali Vanilla 28 dupes coming out, I also tested the La Rive dupe, but I didn't like it: way too alcoholic, at least in the top notes. Just for comparison. I was simply curious.

However, a big change has occurred: I asked someone about her fragrance because she was leaving such a beautiful scent trail behind her, and she happily revealed the secret: she layered a dupe of Kayali with a dupe of You Eau de Parfum: very smart! Both fragrances, in my opinion, are not the most outstanding on their own... But as a team, they apparently work really well!

So I thought I had to give this DNA another chance. That's how I came back to Câline. The original was out of the question for me, as the pleasant sillage of the lady I asked about her fragrance was also a dupe.

Now, after purchasing this bargain, I must admit that I was wrong about it at first. It is a dupe, yes! But what a dupe! The original doesn't really have vanilla in the notes, and the vanilla proclaimed in the name isn't really that intense.

With Câline, it's different: the vanilla note is clearly perceptible. I smell vanilla, caramel, and brown sugar, but also a certain spiciness, and it is still not exclusively a gourmand. I really like it! And now I also know how to layer this DNA meaningfully.
