Dark Mystery Câline 2025

Zuerst mal zu der Aussage, das Dark Mystery eine Ähnlichkeit zu YSL MYSLF haben soll - Sorry aber ich sehe da Null Ähnlichkeiten! Bei MYSLF spielt die Orangenblüte die Hauptrolle, hier ist es eine typische "Billigparfum" Note, ich denke es könnte Calone sein, oder etwas ähnliches. Diese bleibt auch über die ganze Zeitdauer des Dufts im Vordergrund. Für mich mieft es danach und das auch nach einigen Wochen ruhen lassen - die anderen Duftnoten nehme ich persönlich kaum war. es hat etwas leicht florales, ja! Ist und bleibt aber simpel und linear. Ich kann hier auch eine so oft beschworene Ähnlichkeit (bei Dupes und Drogerieparfümen) mit Urinal "Cakes" - den Seifenstücken die in Pissoirs installiert sind riechen. (Sonst war das bei mir noch nie wirklich ein Problem - ich besitze einige Dupes die ich total mag!) Zumindest im Opening, im Drydown wird der Geruch weniger stark, ist aber immer noch spührbar da.

Ich mag andere Caline Düfte, zB Signature Steel, das ein Aventus Klon ist, aber das hier ist für mich ein klarer Flop!
4/10 und auch nur wegen dem günstigen Preis! Aber wenns andern gefällt ist das doch toll! Für mich ist es nichts

Unbeknownst to me, I recently made my way to my trusted drugstore, as they were having a sale on Câline fragrances. Upon arriving at the perfume section, I was surprised to find that a new men's fragrance from Câline had made its way to the shelves, bearing the mysterious name "Dark Mystery."
The fragrance was immediately purchased, and with great curiosity, I opened the packaging and sprayed it on.
The scent starts with a very fresh note, as one would expect from a fragrance with bergamot in the top notes. This very fresh note fades relatively quickly and transitions into a fruity-woody direction.
Towards the end of the fragrance experience, the scent becomes increasingly woody.
I would rate the longevity as solid; I could perceive the fragrance for about 5-6 hours.
The sillage is also decent; the scent is subtly noticeable in the surroundings.
The bottle is, as expected from Câline, of good quality, and the gradient from dark to milky glass is visually very pleasing.
Conclusion: With "Dark Mystery," Câline delivers once again and reaffirms that they are the benchmark in the low-price segment in drugstores. It is always astonishing to see that this brand manages to offer designer fragrance profiles at such affordable prices. While "Dark Mystery" does not quite match its role model (YSL Myself) in all aspects (such as longevity and sillage), this is easily forgivable for the price.

Câline is truly a phenomenon: Everyone knows the bottles, the contents actually enjoy a noteworthy fanbase, and in all the YouTube videos, it is raved about that this brand offers real quality at a low price. In my obligatory sniffing moments in drugstores, none of the well-known fragrances stood out positively to me. This may also be because I neither like Cool Water, nor Le Male or Aventus or Erba Pura (yes, I admit to being averse to these fragrances!). When I spotted this new scent, my expectations were therefore not very high, and I sprayed a bit on the back of my hand. Then I strolled through the aisles, left the drugstore, and walked through typical Nordic autumn weather (drizzle, wind, not suitable for styled hair and glasses wearers).

And in this scenario, the scent caught my attention.

Dark Mystery opens with a certain fruitiness. At first, I thought of a Fanta, just not quite as sugary sweet. However, it was probably this fruity note that made me smell my hand again, as fruitiness is not necessarily expected in this setting (weather, proximity to the harbor, etc.). This Fanta note is quite long-lasting and then gives way to a very pleasant freshness, as if a hint of iris were joining the Fanta and perhaps also a nearly cooling note.

In the heart, it strikes me as very masculine. I can't quite say what causes this impression, possibly the subtle spiciness. This impression lasts for a while.

In the base, it becomes rather unspectacular: A creamy tonka-vanilla blend settles on the skin, which absolutely does not clash and still fits very cleanly and well-groomed with the rest of the scent progression.

Overall, it is a fragrance without sharp edges, but exactly such a thing has its stage and its time. Sometimes, it is precisely what I need. Dark Mystery sounds like nonconformity, but is quite the opposite. And that doesn't have to be a bad thing!

With Dark Mystery, Caline brings her latest men's fragrance to the market, which is said to be very close to the highly popular "Myslf | Yves Saint Laurent."

At the beginning: It achieves this and impresses, as is typical for Caline, with its incredible price/quality ratio!

First, I want to emphasize that the name Dark Mystery does not fit the fragrance at all, in my opinion. Under this name, I imagine at least a very dark, possibly leathery/woody scent. However, that is not the case here at all. Because at the start, Dark Mystery greets you with a classic burst of bergamot, so I’ll call it - that means fresh, citrusy, and fundamentally very clean scent DNA. As it develops, Dark Mystery transforms into a floral sweet fresh laundry scent. Very clean and pleasant in the nose. For some, it might even become too floral, as for me, Dark Mystery is definitely unisex.

This airy, relaxed nature of Dark Mystery makes it perfect for a nonchalant office fragrance. Always wearable and lightly pleasing. The only downside, as is typical for Caline, is the sillage and longevity. This is rather light to moderate, but in this fragrance direction or considering the occasion for which I would wear the scent, it’s not a big deal.

Conclusion: Recommendation all around.

Caline Dark Mystery is a truly pleasant fragrance that is not too overpowering and is super wearable - whether for everyday use or in the evening. It surprisingly comes very close to the original YSL MYSLF and captures the DNA quite well, without coming off as cheap.
The longevity is absolutely fine for the price. Sure, it’s not beast mode, but definitely solid. And this is where it scores again: at this price, you can confidently spray a few extra spritzes.
Overall, a very successful fragrance for anyone looking for a modern, pleasant, and affordable scent that strongly resembles YSL MYSLF. The price-performance ratio is completely clear here.
