Nut caramel bomb
Since I own all Caline fragrances and am also enthusiastic about some of them, I also bought the new Soleil de France.
The fragrance was tested immediately, it is said to be similar to the well-known Cheirosa '62.

At the beginning, I also slightly perceive a note that reminds me of Cheirosa '62, but this is only brief and the fragrance is an independent work that works on its own.
Instead of pistachio, I clearly perceive nutty notes that dominate the entire fragrance from beginning to end. There is also a note of salted caramel, which is also perceptible, and a hint of coconut.
But the nut in the fragrance is Omni Present, it is supposed to be a summer gourmand, I don't find the fragrance completely inappropriate, but it could also be too sweet, and Soleil de France is also quite synthetic.
I like the original Cheirosa '62 a little better, although this fragrance is more intense.
The durability & performance are awesome

"Poor quality control" says Linda
The last day before a vacation is usually more stressful. Linda had a lot to think about before heading to the beach. She was a cleaner at Câline and liked the staff. But she liked the pleasant smells that wafted out of every laboratory even better. Disposed test tubes smelled of roses, coffee or vanilla. There really were worse jobs.

Hunger was driving her, and since all the dishes were already in the running dishwasher, she grabbed a plastic bowl from the lab. Coconut milk and a few hazelnuts to soak. She didn't get to eat because of the workload, as a new fragrance was in production. It was to be a copy of the popular Cheirosa '62, "the girls will love it" exclaimed the boss euphorically. Sweet, salty pistachio dipped in caramel. That's how it should smell. The creative heads were spinning.

"If I'm no longer needed, I'm off on vacation now," Linda waved to the group.
"Only if you tell me where you're going," was her reply. "To the French sun," she winked.
The employees winced and gave each other promising looks.
Linda had no time for interpretation. Perhaps they had been sniffing the tonka beans for too long. The side effects of working in a perfume laboratory sometimes take on strange forms.

She had no idea that the relaxing effect of her week-long vacation would be gone sooner than she thought.
What was in the air? A strange note that she couldn't place. But it didn't matter, because everyone was expected in the conference room to attend the presentation of the new Câline. The CEOs and managing directors of several drugstores shook hands vigorously in anticipation of what was about to be unveiled. Linda caught herself recognizing dancing dollar signs in the eyes of those present.

The presentation started. "Soleil de France" appeared as a cover sheet in Câline's typical glass bottle with small framed roses at the base. Very beautiful! The perfumers looked at Linda with a smile. Wait a minute, had she been the source of inspiration? Belly brushed, she looked forward to the first test. Would she soon be able to call a signature fragrance her own?

Every step of the production process was documented photographically and projected onto an XXL wall.
"... and here you can see the coconut milk, which was responsible for the creaminess in the top note..."
Wait a minute... Linda rubbed her eyes. Was that her cereal bowl that she had forgotten before the vacation?
Her heart was pounding in her throat. The pictures showed every detail of her breakfast, beautifully crafted with all the other scents. No one seemed to know that the filled bowl had been sitting around for almost a week. She needed security. It couldn't possibly be. So she got up quietly and went to the lab. Several bin bags were already lined up waiting for her, because she didn't have a replacement. With trembling fingers, she found what she was looking for... a strangely deformed cereal bowl. The plastic seemed to have melted. Then it came to her, boiling hot: she had left her breakfast on the hob.
The nausea was not only due to the rising fear of being discovered, but also to the acrid plastic smell that combined with the remains of rotten coconut milk.

Of course, she didn't tell anyone about it and after this shock, she sat down again inconspicuously in the hall. Those present seemed to have fallen victim to mass hypnosis as they passed the pretty bottle around in a thick cloud of scent, emitting "aaahs" and "ooohs". They outwitted themselves brainstorming clever marketing on social media. To top it all off, Linda received the first bottle as the namesake. To thunderous applause, she only wanted one thing: to throw up.

So what does the French sun smell like? The pyramid sounds like a dream. An alternative Cheirosa '62 ? Ha, of course I'll buy it! Youtubers were already producing videos before the constantly sold-out fragrance even reached my drugstores. My excitement grew immeasurably, I wanted it so badly. Especially at such an affordable price. What the heck, if the shelf life turned out to be like the well-known body spray, then just buy two bottles.

When I finally tested it, I was full of joyful anticipation of a gourmand sun cream fragrance. However, the test was like a belly flop into a swimming pool with ankle-deep water.
An austere note pervades the top note, which unfortunately does not disappear until the drydown. What is that? Fermented coconut milk? Melted plastic? Spoiled hazelnuts? I can only identify it as such. I've never smelled anything like it. Unfortunately, it's far too pungently penetrating to ignore. The sweet, salty pistachio in the background. The heart note is already similar to Cheirosa '62. But the disruptive note remains. It really steps on the gas again in the drydown. The longevity is moderate, I would have liked it to be shorter in this case.

I couldn't believe what I smelled and initially assumed that my nose was faulty, so many customers can't be wrong. However, several tests on different days in different stores and testers produced exactly the same results. It is therefore not a copy of the Cheirosa '62 body spray or the Sol Cheirosa '62 perfume.

Câline I would have gladly carried my money after you. But not for a plastic accident. I suggest a reformulation. There is potential, but next time without a melted cereal bowl with spoiled ingredients. They have no place in perfume.
At this point, love from Linda. It's not her fault.

Whether Sol de Janeiro or Soleil de France...
... The main thing is sunshine!

Friends of the (fragrant) sun, today I was in the drugstore and... there it was, the Soleil de France.
Both the tester and the product were there. A miracle... and a call to all those who don't get this hyped fragrance because it's sold out everywhere to take a trip to the Westerwald Arkaden. There are actually still 3 left in the Westerwald!

Joking aside... I was finally able to test this (polarizing) fragrance and can confirm its similarity to Cheirosa '62. The French sun starts off a little more biting than the sun of Rio de Janeiro, but after a while it shines and radiates in a very similar way.

Coconut milk and tropical vanilla are added to the summery, sweet and salty trail mix at the start. If the fragrance were a cocktail, it would be a Nutty Colada. Absolute tropical vibes...! Anyone who doesn't get into the vacation mood here really needs help.
There is no trace of apple, but the base brings even more gourmand notes into play instead of a cooling one. Willy Wonka meets Tony Tonka, you could say. The chocolate is white, by the way.

Well, you've probably already guessed it... the fragrance polarizes!
Some love the sweet tropical vibes, others hate the synthetic, sticky sweetness.
Disputes are inevitable.

The fragrance lasts for several hours and projects well. Once again, Câline has done a great job.

Conclusion:
A fragrance for all those who love trail mixes and tropical sweet cocktails but can neither afford the Cheirosa '62 nor a vacation in Brazil or France, Soleil de France is the perfect fragrance.

We are on a hot day...
... on the Greek mainland on a beach. It belongs to our hotel and someone always comes by and asks what we want. A while ago, my girlfriend asked for nuts and a pina colada. Now the waiter comes with the requested items. A bowl of pistachio almonds and hazelnuts and the pina colada. My girlfriend looks at the waiter dreamily. I can understand her, he looks like an Adonis. She's allowed to look at him.

When you apply this fragrance, the first thing you notice is something nutty and sweet, combined with something slightly fruity. The sea comes knocking with a salty note. Woods, vanilla and chocolate want to join in the dance and have their fun. A certain sweetness is present the whole time. This perfume exudes a light summer vibe with beach, sand, sea and sun.

The longevity and silage is good.

Here we have a fragrance from Caline that was launched as a women's fragrance. That's not how I see this fragrance, it can also be worn by men. As long as they like it a little sweet. It is wearable from the age of 16. This is a fragrance that works just as well on warm and hot days as it does on colder ones. During the day, it looks good in casual wear, sportswear or even in a skimpy swimming costume or bikini. In the evening in linen trousers with a shirt or in a summer dress, this fragrance cuts a fine figure.

Anyone who likes a nutty, sweet, fruity, salty, woody fragrance with vanilla and chocolate is in good hands here and for very little money.

Super cracker
The thermometer climbed to 30 degrees and the humidity made it feel like we were in the tropics. Quite unusual for our area, but more common now. I quickly popped into Rossmann for a few bits and bobs. A crowd of female teens at the fragrance shelf. Giggling, cackling and squealing. Just the way a normal puberty behaves. Take it very easy.

My destination was the next shelf and I had to pass the girly gang. Whoosh... i almost lost my breath. What was that? I'd never smelled anything like it. Lena with the pink hair had a fragrance in her hand and sprayed it on her friend Janina. The tester did the rounds. Then the youngsters left and I went to the fragrance shelf.

Soleil de France was the scent of youth. As I'm always curious, I went for the tester. I was expecting something strong, but nothing like this. Coconut came at me immediately at full throttle, followed by rancid hazelnut and ... but only a little almond and pistachio. But such a strange smell. I was disgusted. The firecracker continued with mg apple (only present in traces) and burnt caramel. Then it continued with the Christmas bakery. Chocolate, pompous and engaging, trumping tonka bean and vanilla like the oil from the baking ingredients shelf to top it all off. Pure synthetics.

I stupid cow had also sprayed the stuff on my wrist and now had the salad. I couldn't get rid of the rancid, synthetic and strong smell so quickly. Had to go somewhere else and people said it suddenly smelled like a funfair. Others said it smelled like a Christmas market. The scent was very clingy. I had it on my hand for 8 hours and even my other tricks to remove unloved scents didn't help.

Câline used to make decent fragrances, but this brand has been very weak for about a year now. There's something in it that doesn't appeal to me. The price probably has to be maintained in favor of the ingredients. Cheap really is cheap.

This fragrance is a good choice for those who love this kind of scent. But I'm fed up with it and have had enough.
