Very weird opening, beautiful fragrance.
When buying a bottle of Sculpture Parfum, i was able to get this for free. So i muttered to myself "Wow, a free fragrance? why not." and put this in my basket as well. Expecting it to just be a low budget version of "Angel's share" or something.
First off, this fragrance really is nothing like anything else out there, it's weird; it's incredibly unusual and yet beautiful.
Opening: Plum and Tagetes coming together. The first sprays really smell like a 1980s women's fragrance without the signature "indolic / urine-like jasmine accord" that we are all used to. It's weird, soapy; but oddly beautiful.
Middle: As the questionable opening dries down, you are met with a very smooth, sweet smell of cloves, cinnamon and a chocolate/praline. It is very warm-spicy. It goes from odd to heavenly in an instant.
Drydown: This fragrance seemingly is made up of nearly only base notes and heavier molecules so after the opening fades, it is very linear. that beautiful warm spicy chocolate vibe never leaves but gets darker and more chocolate-like, and that's not a bad thing. It's very intoxicating.
In conclusion: If the opening wasn't so weird, this fragrance would damn near be iconic. It's criminal how creative/weird it is for the 30$ it usually retails for. Not blind buy safe at all. Be warned.
I will try rocking it to see if people like it or hate it. Drydown is heavenly. 9/10. I will deduct 1 point just because it smells weird when first sprayed.
