A New Yorker’s iris scent
Iris Noir is a pretty « New Yorker’s » iris scent, easy to like but with a contemplative depth that changed how I view attars. Unlike the linearity I’ve experienced with others, this one unfolds beautifully.
At first, there’s this cool, dusty ‘cosmopolitan’ iris paired with a smoky noir oud in the background. As it develops, it becomes warmer, buttery, and even richer. I might be influenced by the description, but I’m also picking up a hint of olive tree leaf. The performance is surprisingly strong for an oil. Truly, this one exceeded my expectations.
