I found that one a little boring
Many thanks to Nick for the bottling of Tahitian Gardénia :-) I have to admit that I was missing that certain something here. The fragrance is solid in and of itself, but a little too timid for me. The longevity is good at around 10 hours and the sillage is also good.
The top note starts off fruity with green apples and pineapple. Then a certain resinousness creeps in with fir balsam and juniper berries. I also briefly think of menthol. The heart note then becomes more floral thanks to gardenias, frangipani, iris, violets, garden carnations and rose geraniums. Over time, it also smells spicy and peppery to me like allspice and nutmeg. The base offers a combination of sweetness, wood, creaminess and animalic notes. Here I recognize Borneo oud and musk. Mitti Attar also creates a fine sandalwood aroma.
Perhaps this is also a fragrance that you need to wear more often. Sometimes it just doesn't "catch" you right away.
