Unjustly Stamped
Rooftop cocktail bar. You’ve thrown on your finest linen and leave the bar with a glass of Pina Colada, the end.
NO! For all those who want to look beyond the facade of the name, the bottle, and the image triggered by the fragrance pyramid, you lose your balance after just a few steps, staggering and worrying not only about your drink that is about to spill but also about your dignity, because you are aware of a foreign, sweet smile that has been accompanying you with every step since your arrival. Plan A would have been to throw yourself into the sand lying around everywhere (what else could beautify the charm of concrete and noise in a big city on a rooftop with a cocktail bar), the glass won’t break, the drink will simply be stirred in, and you buy another Pina Colada for €12.
You chose Plan B. Falling for your new crush, balancing the drink towards the sky, and with wide-open eyes, you watched the little splash of drink content that just headed straight for the sweet smile, too late. The next moment, lasting no longer than the Big Bang, but for you feeling like an eternity, you look into each other's eyes just before the cold of the ice cubes and the sticky sweet drink can take effect. It could have been love at first sight. Instead, it’s a déjà vu. Panic. You know each other! You are familiar with each other, but it’s been a long time. You’ve met a few times. Although at long intervals, the affection was always intense, with initial minutes of silence and uncertainty that gradually disappeared with the passing hour, giving you confidence. Your crush was never just a fallback; it just was never the perfect moment until it became the perfect moment, and you found each other. Just like today. Everything is perfect. Strangely enough, the Pina Colada also contributes to this circumstance, as it eliminates the usually uncertain starting difficulties with a mishap that, from an olfactory perspective, gives your sweetheart a note that it didn’t necessarily need but makes things between you significantly simpler. Suddenly, you also remember the name of your crush….
Musk Therapy.
Sorry for the little mush here, but in my eyes, the clumsy comparison with the alcoholic drink falls a bit short (unfortunately homemade). In my opinion, one of my favorite fragrances has been refined here. The drydown reminds me so strongly of Musk Therapy and is surprisingly long-lasting on fabric and skin. This floral freshness and yet creaminess, complemented by summery nuances of coconut and pineapple, perfect! With Initio, I always feel unsure at first whether it suits me, but when the weather, outfit, and mood align, I love wearing it. In its refined form of "Tahiti Colada | Gulf Orchid," you can overcome a bit of the nervousness because by the time the floral notes overwhelm the fragrance, you are already well past the point of questioning whether it was a good idea to wear it.
It is. Always! And now, upon request, with an extra pinch of summer.
