Lemon cake in a bottle (inspired by Xerjoff Lira)
Sometimes you don't need a long review to describe a fragrance.
And that's exactly the case with Crème Caramel.
It simply smells like a lemon cake - period.
Although this brief description would almost suffice, I would still like to take a closer look at it.
The opening is the absolute highlight of this fragrance for me.
Rarely have I smelled something so awesome.
I perceive a wonderful blend of bergamot/tangerine and vanilla, which immediately reminds me of lemon cake.
And in a very authentic way.
Although it is strongly reminiscent of Casamorati - Lira Eau de Parfum, there are one or two differences.
The citrus notes are simply more sparkling and fresher.
Crème Caramel is definitely inspired by Lira, but not a 1:1 dupe.
In the DD, the fruity and sweet notes are joined by cedar wood.
However, this never makes the fragrance too woody or masculine, as caramel becomes perceptible shortly afterwards.
Due to this superficial lemon cake vibe and the caramel, the cedarwood tends to remain in the background.
This ensures that the fragrance remains rather feminine.
Towards the end, the caramel becomes increasingly prominent, while lemon and vanilla recede only slightly into the background.
Nevertheless, both notes are still clearly perceptible.
Overall, the fragrance is creamy, sweet, fluffy and offers a successful blend of fruity freshness and creamy sweetness.
Performance:
The performance could be a little stronger for my taste.
The fragrance lasts a whole day on clothes, but I almost have to look for it, which is a problem I don't really have with fragrances with a long lasting effect.
The radiance is also rather moderate.
I perceive it well for almost 90 minutes without it projecting too strongly.
After that, I have the feeling that you have to be closer to me to perceive him.
Although the fragrance is declared as unisex, I see it more on a woman (W70%/30%M).
Conclusion:
I have already smelled some fragrances that smell like lemon cake, such as Spectre Ghost, "Victoria / فيكتوريا | Lattafa / لطافة" or "Empire Victor | Khadlaj / خدلج" But the Crème Caramel is different, it smells much more authentic and is my absolute favorite of the ones mentioned.
I can warmly recommend it!
