Some people think this smells like Coca Cola dipped baby wipes so I tried to recreate the scent using exactly those products in an attempt to save on an already inexpensive fragrance.

I found the finest cola known to man and poured it into a box of baby wipes made for the most sensitive behinds. To my dismay, the results were scents you might smell in NYC on a hot summer’s day. Now the house smells like regret.

I finally decided to invest in this bottle that, while held in high regard, may have a dirty little secret.

Once it arrived, I tore into the outer packaging with the excitement of a diabetic bee about to taste the sweet nectar of syrup.

However, I took my time with the elegant inner packaging to preserve its innocence like changing the diaper on a new born.

I unbox, prime the atomizer and release a galaxy of molecules destined for a cerebral awakening.

This fragrance is stunningly beautiful!

Ab in den Urlaub in der Flasche! Sonnenbaden auf einer Yacht in Griechenland. Die Hitze ist so stark, dass sie das ledrige Harz aus dem Teakholz treibt, während der Meereswind, voll von Honig getränkt, einem vor dem Sonnenbrand bewahrt. Ich kenne das Original nicht, aber der Dupe scheint nah dran zu sein, mir reicht er jedenfalls, um zu wissen, wohin der Urlaub dieses Jahr geht. Eines weiß ich jetzt schon: Der wird ein Knaller!

Honig-Sonnencreme-artig und ledrig (was durch das Labdanum kommt) der Duft macht einfach Freude, und man kann nicht aufhören, daran zu schnuppern. Der Honig spielt hier mit der Vanille und dem Leder, ohne jemals zu süß oder overpowered zu wirken. Je länger er auf der Haut ist, desto mehr kommt neben dem Leder und Honig auch die Vanille zum Vorschein und rundet das Gesamtbild ab. Nach ca. einer Stunde ist die Vanille für mich richtig präsent und im Mix sogar deutlicher wahrnehmbar.

Ich würde den Stimmen hier zustimmen, dass der Duft recht linear daherkommt, was ihn aber absolut nicht schlecht macht. Er ist einfach klasse in dem, was er ist, und für diesen Preis umso mehr eine absolute Empfehlung. Wenn ihr Labdanum mögt und etwas für den Urlaub oder wirklich warme Sommertage sucht, dann wird das für euch ein absoluter Hit. Sicher wäre es vielleicht noch etwas besser, wenn hier und da noch etwas Aquatisch-Salziges hervorschauen würde, aber das ist wirklich Kritik auf hohem Niveau, die ich dann eventuell beim Original finden kann.

Für den Preis ein absoluter Blind-Buy für jeden, der etwas Besonderes für warme Sommertage sucht. Komplimente sind euch damit sicher!

A very beautiful and pleasant scent for summer days!
I smelled it in Amsterdam back then and fell in love immediately; it simply has a lovely honey note.
With this fragrance, you feel like a millionaire on a yacht, and you just smell good.
The bottle is also very sleek and nice.
The longevity and sillage are typical for summer fragrances; I perceive the scent for 6-7 hours.
It is definitely a blind buy candidate, and for just €25, it's a bargain.
Anyone who enjoys beautiful clean scents with a honey note will definitely not go wrong with this fragrance, Yacht Club.

Very nice 40 Knots alternative. The name "Yacht Club" expresses how the scent smells. When I wore it for the first time at school, I received four compliments, and I think that shows how pleasant others find this fragrance. My best friend said: "Great scent, definitely my favorite of all your perfumes, please wear it more often." I wear it more often now, and it never gets boring. H/S is fine, I recommend about 7 sprays and then just let "Yacht Club" simmer.

I recently ordered Yacht Club as an affordable alternative to 40 Knots and was curious about what it could do for around €25. And what can I say, it can do quite a lot! With the first spray in the air, I immediately thought: “Wow, 40 Knots in a different bottle. Are there even any differences?”

So I did a direct comparison on the skin, and yes, there are a few subtle differences. 40 Knots is more multifaceted, deeper, and has a note at the beginning (somehow reminds me of clove) that I don’t smell in Yacht Club. However, for me, this is not a real disadvantage, as I am always a bit torn about that note anyway.

As it develops, Yacht Club remains more linear than its expensive counterpart. But that doesn't bother me - on the contrary. There are linear fragrances, like "Amber pour Homme (Eau de Toilette) | Prada," that annoy me after a certain time. Not with this one - I’m even glad that it hardly changes.

The longevity is absolutely solid, although not quite as good as 40 Knots. However, it is still noticeable on clothing the next day.

In short: If you like 40 Knots, in my opinion, you have a great alternative here with good S/C and an unbeatable value for money.
