Chocolate-covered coconut marshmallow treats, Bounty bars and pina coladas
Btw before I start: I absolutely HATED Fantasm when I first sprayed it, the same with the second time. ALL I got was the menthol-y patchouli from original Angel, unpleasantly mixed with an odd coconut. And my nose refused to adjust to it even in the drydown.
But after that and I continued wearing it since I bought it anyway, I started to love it, as the scent changed into what I'm about to describe. So please, if you get the same experience, give it time.
Fantasm however dries down to a sweet, boozy pineapple and coconut chocolate liqueur. Wow, it's honestly very warm, sweet and delicious. It reminds me much more of Mugler Angel Muse edp than Angel edp with this drydown! It must be the bourbon vanilla that gives the chocolate experience. So I can completely see why people think this smells like a pina colada, except it's much more sophisticated than that, and in no way your typical ''summery EDT scent''.
On the skin, the patchouli actually almost completely disappears, and I even get notes of licorice in this one. I absolutely love the transformation of this, I will definitely be buying the refill and keep the cute little 25ml bottle I have for refills.
Usually I dislike coconut in fragrances, but the warmth of the vanilla and patchouli transforms the coconut into a warm, boozy and intoxicating liqueur note instead of your typical beach coconut.
The patchouli in this keeps it from being sickly sweet and boosts the longevity and sillage to me.
