Mademoiselle Diamant
After reading the fragrance pyramid, I wasn’t expecting this at all.

What we have here is a fairly fresh citrus scent (orange, mandarin) with a subtle vintage touch from the patchouli. For me, it’s reminiscent of Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum , though with slight differences.

Surprisingly, I detect a faint hint of anise on my skin, and I have no idea where it’s coming from.

Excellent value, as usual with Fragonard.

Angel comparison is very bold...
and almost an insult, yet everyone perceives fragrances very differently. I am definitely not a fan of designer perfumes, but mostly buy from traditional manufacturers, such as Fragonard.
Not original? Sorry, I completely disagree, because with this scent, I can't think of any that smells similar, and I would claim that I have the most common ones from Douglas, as well as some fragrances from traditional brands (Creed, Penhaligon's, Micallef, Nasomatto, Mazolari, etc.) in mind. The only one, at least in terms of direction, is Candy by Prada...

Angel is much sweeter and extremely overpowering, with little to no trace of gourmand scent; I don't want to offend anyone, but I find it very unpleasant and extremely cheap, especially due to the high alcohol concentration (very typical for designer perfumes). In contrast, when you smell Diamant, the top note is a bit spicier and a touch fresher/citrusy, and then - after 10-15 minutes, when the fragrance begins to tell its true story, the truly delicious and seductive heart gradually emerges.

It develops wonderfully on the skin, and since I have an Eau de Parfum, it lasts even into the next day. The Eau de Parfum is much more "substantial" and "economical," containing a higher essence concentration, compared to Eau de Toilette concentration of about 30-40 (essence) to 60 (alcohol), Eau de Parfum 60/40. There is therefore a very significant difference in longevity and of course in the scent as well!

I agree with my predecessor in that the product name "Diamant" is not necessarily associated with a gourmand scent for the little black dress, but rather either floral/fresh in the direction of "Midnight Rain" by La Prairie or floral/bitter.

Final note: With Fragonard, one should always remember that it is a family business and predominantly uses (mostly plant-based) natural essences, and a good nose ALWAYS detects the difference from synthetically produced products. Additionally, about 1000 fragrances are produced daily for customers from all over the world, whereas designer brands produce quantities that are beyond good and evil daily (sometimes in the millions), so you actually have something special, and thus, the savings are not on the ingredients, but rather on bottles and advertising.

Sometimes I WISH you were an ANGEL...
No, I find the Kelly Family terrible. But that fit right now.
I know Wish very well (who doesn't?) and I've smelled Angel before.
This fragrance strongly reminds me of both. Sweet and quite heavy and very gourmand. Simpler than Wish or Angel, less complex, but very similar. Did someone copy here?

The top note is different, with a pepper note. However, this changes quite quickly, as jasmine and rose come to the forefront. It's nice that I can still smell something fruity. The pepper note remains, which admittedly differs from the already mentioned gourmand classics.
What remains in the end could be either Wish or Angel.

I don't want to complain, I like it. But original is something else. And the matching body lotion and shower gel are great too, by the way.
It works sometimes, but not every day; this fragrance can definitely get on people's nerves. Especially with overdosage.

Sweet Diamonds?
Hello fellow sniffers, today I'm back with another Fragonard scent, since I still have the traveling package and therefore have to test this brand more… but of course, I’ll also sprinkle in comments about other brands between the individual scents so you don’t get too bored and unsubscribe from me!! Let’s see how many people still enjoy reading what I write… OH MY GOD, I’ve already lost 150 subscribers!!!

He he, no, of course not,… because I don’t even have 150 subscribers!!! Waah!!! Nobody likes me *sigh* :DD

But alright, let’s get to the scent. This time I’m presenting “Diamant,” and yes, the scent is actually called Diamant, that’s how it’s written in French too, I checked… because I didn’t know either :DD

So, Diamant then. Also cliché known as the best friends of women. Why is that? Because they sparkle so beautifully? When you think about it, a diamond is nothing more than compressed coal that looks like sparkling and cut glass… crazy that men spend so much money on it, argh! :DD
Or at least would spend if they had a woman or girlfriend. Yes, today I’m not complaining about my single status, but I’ll tell you one of the advantages of being single: You save money because you don’t have to buy jewelry! Hooray! … *still.have.to.sigh.again.arghhhhh* :DD

Okay, now to the scent:

The Scent:
Hmm, the scent has a quite nice and interesting start with citrus-spicy notes. I smell citrusy and slightly sweet mandarins, even sweeter jasmine, a bit of pepper, and also caramel.
A little later, the scent becomes really sweet. You can still smell a lot of jasmine, but now there’s also a vanilla sweetness. In the background, there seems to be a slight synthetic note, but I don’t find this disturbing. Later on, the sweetness of the scent recedes a bit. Of course, the scent remains quite sweet, but the sweetness is no longer as overwhelmingly strong as at the beginning of the top note. Additionally, the scent becomes much more interesting and also mature due to the now emerging fruity notes like plums and oranges instead of just being a sticky-sweet calorie bomb!
At the end, however, the scent again smells quite sweet and also pretty synthetic. Well, at least it’s a bit powdery, so despite all the sweetness and synthetics, it still smells nice, but still, I found the ending the least successful part of this scent.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is quite strong, as especially the sweetness of the scent radiates strongly and envelops everyone in a large cloud of fragrance. Therefore, I also found the longevity quite long, with over ten hours!

The Bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical and ends with a dome at the top. That’s where the chrome cap sits, which is round on top and cylindrical on the bottom with indented sides, where the brand name is engraved. I find the bottle a bit simpler compared to the other Fragonard bottles, as the label here only has a chrome frame and doesn’t feature a colorful floral image, but it does come across as a bit more elegant. All in all, still nice.

Sooo,… to be honest, one might be slightly shocked at the beginning when imagining an elegant scent due to the name “Diamant” and then suddenly being overwhelmed by a sugar bomb because of the many sweet notes. However, most of the sweetness is more present at the beginning, so you should give the scent some time to develop.

Of course, the scent is and remains quite sweet, but later on it’s not just a sugar bomb, but despite a slight synthetic note (which isn’t extremely disturbing, but the scent would have smelled much better without it) it definitely has its elegant sides, as it comes across as quite feminine and even sexy. Therefore, it’s a nice scent for the evening and going out. Maybe not one of those scents that you absolutely must have, but I think it offers quite a lot for its affordable price.

It’s best used in autumn and winter and, as mentioned, fits best in the evening or for going out. So you could give it a try, even though it’s not a must, because there are indeed many more beautiful sweet scents out there.
And that’s it for now. Only about three to four more Fragonard comments left, then you’ll be rid of me… no, not really, then there will still be many, many, many, really very many more comments :D

Well then, I wish you all a lovely evening as always, see you next time :)

Polished Diamond
When I think of the name of this fragrance, I focus less on the scent notes and much more on what one sees or rather smells in it. Just as versatile as the color spectrum of a polished diamond is apparently the perception of each nose regarding it, as can be seen from previous comments.

A diamond is not mass-produced and certainly not bling-bling like costume jewelry that thrives on standing out compared to other fragrances. Just like the traditional house of Fragonard. They do not rely on bling-bling but on consistency and quality. It should be small and fine.

Although I greatly appreciate a strong sillage, I cannot confirm that here. It is perceptible but in a pleasant strength and not overwhelming at all. Of course, the opening is marked by the pepper along with the slightly sweet and juicy citrus fruits, which quickly becomes softer without completely disappearing. This slight spiciness carries through to the end for me.

The heart notes are well blended, and the fresh plum lovingly holds back the dominant jasmine, taking away some of its sweetness without completely disputing its place. The rose plays a more romantic supporting role.
The base is nicely balanced for me, and even my biggest opponent, Mr. Patchouli, behaves very well here. None of the base notes push themselves too much into the foreground and harmonize beautifully with the others.

I wouldn't necessarily label the fragrance as a gourmand, rather as a fruity-floral and light oriental.

Whether the name is justified or not, it is definitely a small and precious treasure. A polished diamond whose value is not immediately recognizable to everyone.

Starts cool, clear, and sleek (could bathe in it), then quickly becomes quite dense, broad, and opaque with gourmand sweetness.

Applied with the sample cloth, the scent is somehow fresh, floral, fruity, and for me, pretty average. However, the longevity is an impressive 24 hours!

A loud, sweet, fruity-powdery scent; rose and jasmine drizzled with caramel and dusted with powdered sugar; intense and long-lasting.

Slightly similar to Angel! D. is more subtle, less sweet, with a hint of citrus at the start. More suitable for business than A.!

Nice start with spicy orange, but soon it's just buttery, nutty caramel. Synthetic undertone, very faint. Overall too sweet.
