neroli bomb

this opens with a very strong neroli which I didn’t really enjoy unfortunately. The citrus does start to come after that though with a prominent sweet citrusy blood orange and a bright bergamot. The ginger is also here and adds an aromatic freshness. The woody accords are fairly undetectable but the leather is noticeable in the background more so as an added note for depth not really a main accord. I think this a pretty simple citrusy white floral, with a touch of ginger, it’s not my favorite but I can’t say I dislike it. I think if the citrus was more toned up, white florals toned down, and more noticeable woods I would definitely like this a lot more.

Versatile Citrus

This is a strong citrus scent with a little bit of ginger to warm it. It can be a warming scent in winter and a cooling scent in summer. Its like drinking a strong up of ginger lemon tea when you are sick or drinking a lemonade on a hot day. Its versatile but lacking a little of the complexity I would hope for based on the notes. It did last over 6 hours on my skin and the projection was fairly strong. It looks like they have a 17ml for $50, 37ml for $80, and 57ml for $135. There are a variety of sizes and price points, so there is something for eveyone's budget but I do think $135 for 57 is kinda pushing it.

Nuanced fresh blend, among the house's best freshies

Sampling Pineward Perfumes Gingermoss, one of the five most recent releases for spring/summer from the house, and it’s among my favorites of the house’s fresher scents, a fitting green ginger blend colored with citruses, neroli, rosemary, leather, and woods. It’s refreshing but nuanced and inventive, and I’ve not quite smelled a fragrance like it before. Fittingly, the opening is a bit brighter, more citrus-heavy, and even spicy, and the dry down is a bit smoother while still being pleasant. It smells like the outdoors while still being refreshing, conjuring a fresh morning scent of a field—greens, woods spices. Overall, I quite like it.

Gingermoss is priced at $135/80 for 57/37ml, the brand’s current pricing for its EDT concentration offerings. The darker, more cold-weather-leaning scents are generally in extrait concentration at a higher price point.
