Definitely not a classic Chypre, but beautiful rose & iris, woody-spicy wrapped with a hint of green & freshness. It has something.

For a Chypre, it's a bit too lacking in green & hardly citrusy, but it has a sour patchouli scent like in "Psychédelique," just much tamer.

Starts woody, very spicy, with a rather unpleasant fruity note (the pepper?)
Then it becomes nicely balsamic
Chypre? No, I don't think so.

For me, it's not a Chypre, as the floral note hardly blooms in the heart: instead, there are woody, smoky, peppery, and resinous-sweet tones.
