Drowning in Vanilla The Dua Brand

It had to come to this.
Yes, it had to come to the point where I would one day fall victim to a disappointing blind buy. Now I sit here after more than two months of waiting and I am more than disappointed. My expectations were undoubtedly far too high and yet I feel cheated. Cheated by myself. I, the greatest vanilla lover on this planet, do not like a vanilla fragrance. How is that even possible?
One word, six letters.
Ginger, the component I hoped to not perceive too strongly, unfortunately dominates the entire scent progression for me. The vanilla sadly plays only second or rather fourth fiddle.
Nevertheless, I must say that the vanilla note itself simply smells beautifully of vanilla pudding and had it not been for this aggressive ginger note, we would have definitely become very good friends.
But as they say in Shakespeare's Hamlet: Lirum, Larum!
In summary, I would say that the fragrance SMELLS VERY strongly of ginger/citrus notes and if you like that, you can be happy, because Dua fragrances truly impress with excellent sillage and longevity.

My vanilla heart is opening up!
Or rather, my vanilla-lemon mousse heart. Because the scent DNA comes surprisingly close to Ani (Nishane)!
I really like it, especially since it contains almost only fragrance notes that I enjoy and can easily detect:
Bergamot, vanilla, fresh ginger, a bit of cardamom like in Layton or Intoxicated, patchouli, and amber.
It's clear that I like this.
Very well composed or rather copied.
Fortunately, I hardly notice any sandalwood and cedarwood.
Drowning in Vanilla is soft, sweet, and sits gently on the skin. At the same time, it is quite noticeable (I realized this even before spraying when I sniffed the decant).

Dua Fragrances has not disappointed me so far. Not here either.

Overall, a very nice scent. Smells like a vanilla-lemon cake, but why would a man want to smell like a vanilla-lemon cake? For me, the fragrance is far too feminine, and I can't imagine wearing such a scent in any situation. In my opinion, this fragrance is only suitable for women.

On my girlfriend, it smells very good. H&S is top! Dua typical. But I advise men to first order a sample, as the scent is very feminine.

Ginger is strongly noticeable at the top. The vanilla rises quickly and is surrounded by this bitterness. The pepper is distinctly perceptible. After a few minutes, the scent becomes softer and the notes blend together. Over time, the woody notes join in, transforming the fragrance into a beautiful woody vanilla scent.

A multifaceted vanilla fragrance.

Drowning in Vanilla is of course a copied version of Nishane Ani.
We get a complex vanilla scent here that is indeed very beautiful and almost identical to the original.

The Dua starts off a bit "fresher," but quickly develops in the direction of Ani.
We have vanilla combined with lovely cardamom, sweet resinous benzoin, amber, soft woods, and a touch of ginger.

I found the scent progression to be quite linear, except for the opening.
I like the fragrance, and what I appreciate about all Dua fragrances is their excellent longevity. It also projects well.
