Nostalgia for something I’ve never experienced

David has an absolutely amazing ability to transport you into an atmosphere you’d probably never find yourself in otherwise. It’s a cold october day, I live in a northern country - and yet, from the very first tests, I found myself “somewhere out there”, maybe on a beach I drove to early one summer morning, passing fields of flowers along the way.

In the car, there’s the scent of freshly sliced bread I brought with me, spread with apricot jam. You don’ t quite remember what’s been bothering you - but it doesn’t matter anymore.

Watercolor is THAT VERY scent. It’s love for life itself, a childlike, overflowing joy within, and complete serenity

Summer Evening in a Flower Garden

Watercolor starts with a strong alcohol kick that is almost irritating, but it really only lasts a few seconds. After that, the fragrance opens up beautifully. The fig comes through immediately and stays with you the whole time, sometimes more pronounced, sometimes just softly in the background. A few flowers shimmer in and out, a bit of honey, a touch of green from grass and hay, all very soft and natural.

The scent sits rather close to the skin, so it doesn’t make a big entrance, but it still lasts about seven hours. And the good thing is, it doesn’t have that artificial stickiness that some fragrances bring. When you wake up the next day, it’s completely gone, without that synthetic residue cloud.

In the end, Watercolor feels like a light, pleasant summer evening in fragrance form. Unobtrusive, beautifully rounded, and simply pleasant to wear.
