Boozy jazzy gourmand
Opens up with a punch of amaretto and almond backed by a very realistic honey. The almond and amaretto quite quickly settle and tone done, leaving room for the honey and 'bread' note... though I find this bread note smells more like wheat or bran. From here on out, the fragrance also has a very creamy vibe, almost buttery. Wouldn't say it specifically smells like cocoa butter, becsause I don't really pick up anything chocolately in here. Nor cherry for that matter. The dust note is also probably bullshit, there is a dryness, which might be that dust note, but honestly it's quite faint and not really distinctly anything.

That aside, this fragrance is absolutely beautiful, and it's not only an art piece, it is a very wearable fragrance that actually smells phenomenal. This is surprisingly very wearable for a gourmand, especially compared to some vanilla heavy gourmands like nishane ani, which I find less wearable than this.

On the topic of wearability, this fragrance is very much a winter/fall fragrance. I would definitely not recommend anyone to wear this when it's over 20 degrees celsius, because you will definitely choke the people around you with the intense sweet booziness. Many will consider this a date night fragrance, but I believe you can wear any fragrance throughout daily life (though not in every season), as long as you dose your amount of sprays right. This fragrance you will probably only need 2-4 sprays of, when it is VERY cold , you could go for 5, but I would not recommend going any higher.

It perfoms quite well, 12 hours on skin, 5 hours of decent projection. Really nothing to be complaining about. The raw materials used are clearly high quality, they smell very rich and dense.

There isn't much more left to say for this fragrance, ofcourse there is a whole story behind it, but there are people (namely the review under me) who can tell that story much better than I can. I prefer to look at fragrances this way, though I find it very fun to read the stories :)

Anyway, amazing fragrance. 9.5/10

unexpected enjoyment
Ive never understood the saying that you taste with your nose until now. I have been guzzling water all day wearing 8 sprays of this fragrance and with every sip i get more convinced that im drinking amaretto. Dont get me wrong i love amaretto, but drinking water with the taste of amaretto all morning without the main features that make amaretto great is horrible.

I love this fragrance. Super boozy, very bready suprisingly. I get almost 0 sweetness, honey is there but its not sweet or strong. Bread and amaretto.

lovely

Tommy
Tommy is an ordinary guy, living alone in his small apartment, working a regular job, has a normal girlfriend, and spends his money on normal things.

Tommy doesn't care about luxury, let alone perfume. But...Tommy listens to jazz.

He doesn't just listen to it, he lives it. He listens to it on his turntable, dances, sleeps, and listens to it whenever he has the time.

Tommy wears a gray flat cap, a white shirt, a gray vest, gray pants, and black patent shoes. And no, that's not Tommy's going-out outfit, nooo, that's how he always walks around.

His friends hear the word "jazz," and Tommy immediately comes to mind. If he had to be described in one word, it would probably be "jazz."
So, at the end of the week, Tommy finds himself once again on his couch, the temperature in the living room far too high, as he has once again forgotten to turn off the heating. All his friends are busy, just like his girlfriend.

Tommy lights a few candles in his small cozy living room and gets his amaretto from the kitchen, places it on the small glass coffee table, and puts on his favorite record: "Jazz Noire."

He sits down on his old couch, opens a few buttons on his shirt, loosens his shoes, and pours himself a drink.

Tommy admires the golden-brown drop in the candlelight, swirls the glass around once or twice.

And takes a small sip while in the background Benny Golson plays the tenor saxophone...

To melt away
There are fragrances that are not just worn, but feel like a little scene - almost as if you are being drawn into a film. This one feels like a late weekend in a smoky jazz bar in the heart of New Orleans. The light is dimmed, candles cast flickering shadows on the old wooden paneling, and a saxophone sounds from the corner.

In the glass sits a heavy amaretto, perhaps alongside a snifter of cognac - deep, golden-brown, and full of promise. Just like that, the fragrance opens: boozy, dark-sweet, with a slightly sticky almond note that reminds of amaretto but feels creamier and denser. A note of vanilla and honey glaze lays over it, almost like a soft coat, while creamy hazelnut and a hint of spices create an unmistakable warmth.

The longer it unfolds, the more it reveals its two faces: on one side, it feels dark and almost intimidating, but on the other side, sweet and seductively delicious. This play between hardness and sweetness makes the fragrance particularly exciting. It is not smooth or pleasing, but thrives on contrast - sweet alcohol, creamy depth, and a light spiciness that never becomes intrusive.

The longevity is clearly above average: a few spritzes are enough, and the fragrance remains present for hours. The sillage is strong without overwhelming the space - it remains perceptible, like the echo of a melody that still lingers in the air when the music has already faded.

In the end, it feels like an evening you won't forget: warm, sweet, boozy, and full of atmosphere. A fragrance that sounds like jazz and tastes like amaretto - dark, creamy, and with an unexpectedly gentle core.

The Dark Jazz Bar in the Heart of Bucharest
A room of smoke and golden lights.

Amaretto and cognac merge in the air, boozy, dark-sweet, with a creamy hazelnut resting deep in the glass.

A hint of honey glaze settles over it, soft and seductive.
The whole thing feels profound, almost hypnotic, an aura like the last note of a saxophone in the dim light.

Reminiscent of Angels' Share, but darker, more alcoholic, more mature, warmer, and infinitely more intense.

That's how I imagine Thomas Shelby. Lots of alcohol and smoky tobacco. Dark and intimidating on the outside. Yet sweet on the inside. A masterpiece!

Liquid dessert with depth. Sweet amaretto, warm smoke, and vanilla in candlelight. Cozy, enchanting, almost drinkable. The Christmas scent!

Except for passionflower, which I don't know how it smells, I can actually recognize the notes. The opening is even quite right*
