unexpected enjoyment
Ive never understood the saying that you taste with your nose until now. I have been guzzling water all day wearing 8 sprays of this fragrance and with every sip i get more convinced that im drinking amaretto. Dont get me wrong i love amaretto, but drinking water with the taste of amaretto all morning without the main features that make amaretto great is horrible.

I love this fragrance. Super boozy, very bready suprisingly. I get almost 0 sweetness, honey is there but its not sweet or strong. Bread and amaretto.

Boozy jazzy gourmand
Opens up with a punch of amaretto and almond backed by a very realistic honey. The almond and amaretto quite quickly settle and tone done, leaving room for the honey and 'bread' note... though I find this bread note smells more like wheat or bran. From here on out, the fragrance also has a very creamy vibe, almost buttery. Wouldn't say it specifically smells like cocoa butter, becsause I don't really pick up anything chocolately in here. Nor cherry for that matter. The dust note is also probably bullshit, there is a dryness, which might be that dust note, but honestly it's quite faint and not really distinctly anything.

That aside, this fragrance is absolutely beautiful, and it's not only an art piece, it is a very wearable fragrance that actually smells phenomenal. This is surprisingly very wearable for a gourmand, especially compared to some vanilla heavy gourmands like nishane ani, which I find less wearable than this.

On the topic of wearability, this fragrance is very much a winter/fall fragrance. I would definitely not recommend anyone to wear this when it's over 20 degrees celsius, because you will definitely choke the people around you with the intense sweet booziness. Many will consider this a date night fragrance, but I believe you can wear any fragrance throughout daily life (though not in every season), as long as you dose your amount of sprays right. This fragrance you will probably only need 2-4 sprays of, when it is VERY cold , you could go for 5, but I would not recommend going any higher.

It perfoms quite well, 12 hours on skin, 5 hours of decent projection. Really nothing to be complaining about. The raw materials used are clearly high quality, they smell very rich and dense.

There isn't much more left to say for this fragrance, ofcourse there is a whole story behind it, but there are people (namely the review under me) who can tell that story much better than I can. I prefer to look at fragrances this way, though I find it very fun to read the stories :)

Anyway, amazing fragrance. 9.5/10

Tommy
Tommy is a normal guy, lives alone in his small apartment, has a normal job, a normal girlfriend and spends his money on normal things.

Tommy doesn't care about luxury, let alone perfume. But...Tommy listens to jazz.

He doesn't just listen to it, he lives it. He listens to it on his record player, dances, sleeps and listens to it whenever he has time.

Tommy wears a gray slouch hat, a white shirt, a gray vest, gray trousers, like black patent leather shoes. And no, this is not Tommy's outfit for going out, no, he always walks around like this.

His friends only hear the word "jazz" and Tommy immediately comes to mind. If you had to describe him in one word, it would probably be "jazz".
At the end of the week, Tommy is once again sitting on his couch, the temperature in the living room is far too high, he has once again forgotten to turn off the heating. All his friends are busy, as is his girlfriend.

Tommy lights a few candles in his cozy little living room and takes his Amaretto from the kitchen, puts it on the small glass coffee table and puts on his favorite record: "Jazz Noire".

He sits down on his old couch, undoes a few buttons on his shirt, loosens his shoes and pours himself a glass.

Tommy looks at his golden-brown drop in the candlelight, swirls the glass once or twice.

And takes a small sip while Benny Golson blows the tenor saxophone in the background....
