Gunpowder filled cake with a note of sadness

I first heard about this fragrance from Tiktokers Brandscents and Milanscent. What really intrigued me was that this was Brandon's favorite from the whole brand. When it first arrived to my house, I was shocked on how good the presentation was. Probably my favorite unboxing experience. I sprayed it on and it smelled like nothing I have ever smelled before. I could definitely smell the cake and the gunpowder. There is this one note I smell which smells very alcoholic. When it dries the fragrance becomes less harsh and softer. Overall, this is an amazing scent with a very detailed and sad story behind it.

Signature Scent

My signature scent.

This perfume is like a wistful slice of cake that’s been left to cool in a quiet room, sweet, smoky, nostalgic, and a bit sad. Think of milk, bitter almond, and a rich cake note giving that gourmand, dessert like feeling. It’s not just sugary and sweet, it has a touch of incense, booze, and even a gunpowder-y feeling in the background, that brings drama and a hint of darkness. Delicious, edible and mind blowing scent.

One thing i hate though, is how the perfumer markets the notes just for "marketing".

My favorite gourmand of all time, 10/10.

Last Birthday Cake tells the story of a man whose life is marked by loneliness and pain. On his birthday, surrounded by a party that’s supposed to be a joyful moment, he instead feels even emptier. In front of the cake — a symbol of all past birthdays and emotions never truly felt — overwhelmed by sadness, he takes an extreme step: he ends his life with a .

Opening: The fragrance opens with an almondy, chocolatey note.

Heart and Dry Down: After that very sweet opening, a smoky incense note emerges, representing the moment of the man’s tragic act. The composition is very balanced and never cloying.

I’d give it a solid 9/10. It has good longevity, and the story is represented beautifully!

a slice of cake at the gun range

So smoky and sweet and delicious. This opens up super boozy and with a punch of gunpowder, and melts into this delicious rich and complex vanilla cake scent. Creamy, sweet, lactonic, a hint of bitter almond and rum. I'm not a huge gourmand fan but I can absolutely appreciate this one. It's complex and has so much depth.
Perfect for anyone who wants to smell edible but not without something to offset the sickly sweetness of it all.

Perfect.

I saw as soon as I got my nose on this why it is so popular. Although joint first place for my favourite fragrance, it technically takes the gold medal for fragrance that suits my personality best. It is so artistic but so wearable. A gorgeous sweet vanilla cake with frosting is juxtaposed with acrid smoke, wax and brandy. It almost stings to the nose in the most glorious and more-ish way. The malted sort of element I assume can be attribute to the bran, which sits very nicely in the mid. Smells like good times, bad choices, and growing up. Genuinely 10/10 on all fronts, and special consideration considering the care to presentation.

I will add that I disagree with the su*cide narrative of the fragrance; The way I see it, this is about letting go of the old and embracing the new. Not everyone needs to cling to what was good, and sometimes it's better to move on to a new life without cake and candles. Just my take!
