Seeking Fragrances Replicating Realistic Male Body Odors

Hi everyone,

I’ve been on a quest to find fragrances that authentically emulate male body odors, and I was hoping this amazing community could help guide me.

Specifically, I’m looking for fragrances that realistically replicate the natural odors of male sweat, intimate body areas, or worn clothing. I’m drawn to the raw, animalic aspects of perfumery, and would appreciate any recommendations for scents that explore these themes.

One note: I’ve already tried Secretions Magnifiques but found it didn’t match the realistic qualities I’m seeking.

Do you know of any niche or indie perfumes that might align with what I’m seeking? Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Signature Royale XXX was supposedly designed to represent the smell of a used jock strap. I've sampled it and I think the perfumer must have an active imagination. That said, Signature Royale X to me resembled clean male skin scent, but it's very weak.

Overture Man

I doubt there's a better candidate than the drunk and sweaty Arabian prince. A myriad of spices, booze, sweat and incense with sandalwood and leather.

@DrCaligari I know it's marketed as a woman's fragrance, but if you ever run into a tester bottle of this somewhere, it could be worth trying Amazing Grace Jasmine Eau de Toilette . To me it had the most body-odour-like profile I've probably ever encountered in a fragrance. Specifically: sweat-drenched clothing in the summer.

@DrCaligari you'd probably like Dodo (2020) (has to be the 2020 edition). It smells exactly like my boyfriend's BO so much so, that I'll only wear it at home

And you'd probably enjoy all of Marlou's fragrances. They're specifically designed to be stylized versions of human body smells.

Filippo Sorcinelli has a dedicated line called sex with 4 fragrances designed to replicate body odors. I haven't personally sampled any of them but a friend of mine owns Cyber Sex from the line and he claims it's quite realistic, bordering on unwearable.

Cyber-sex is an almost 1:1 scent of the sweaty loins of a man or a woman.  It can arouse sexual eroticism. Roll it between one's legs.

The opening of L'Autre is a strong cumin-y body odor. It's such a lovely and unique fragrance, developing into a citrus Indian spice market.

Reminds me of the scene in Halston which every fragrance enthusiast should have watched by now. I don’t own the fragrance but maybe there is some smell like the OP is asking for in there somewhere. I am not sure if it was the men’s or women’s fragrance he was creating as it has been a while since I watched it, but they are not that expensive so wouldn’t cost much to get them. I think they are like £20 roughly.

SPOILERS : in the amazing Netflix show Halston who is portrayed by Ewan McGregor he makes his first fragrance. There is part of this on YouTube but not the 2nd part where he has been asked to take in some things he would like in the fragrance and one of the items is his lovers jockstrap. That must be in the fragrance in some way or another 😁

Coming back to this thread, I'll second @Wusubi 's recommendation, Overture Man.

One that smells surprisingly realistic - like a musky, sweaty man who sprayed on a fougere, try Dali pour Homme Eau de Toilette although it's apparently hard to find.

Regarding Marlou scents, they have a sample set. I live in the US and Marlou sent me the sample set for a very reasonable price including overseas shipping. Since you live in Europe, it should be cheaper.
