Here in the Netherlands: Narcisses, many of them! Promising spring and summer!! Tulips ofcourse (though 'the claim' that those are typical 'Dutch' is not true as they actually come from Turkey I think Smile). And I love, love, love the combination of fieldflowers! In late spring and summer there's a burst of poppies and lavender along the road that leads to my work, they make me so happy!

At the moment in Central Finland daffodils are just opened and bird cherry trees and lily-of-the-valleys are about to bloom soon. I won't be here seeing that though because I'm travelling to my second home to Scotland tonight so I'll see very soon what's blooming there atm. This is quite early time for blooming in Finland as this spring has been exceptionally early and exceptionally warm. Sometimes this time of the year here's still snow in the ground 😅

Your description is so beautiful and makes me want to stop postponing that trip to Finland already. Smile

How lovely to hear that, dear @Raluko111 🥰 I'm actually at the Helsinki-Vantaa airport right now waiting for my flight and on my way here I saw a ton of wood anemones blooming in all forests. Wood anemone doesn't really grow so much wildly in the northern parts of our country but seems that it's everywhere here in the south now. Looked absolutely gorgeous!

In Porto the cherry trees and irises are blooming

I was just in my old home, Seattle in the US, and it was an extravaganza- magnolia trees, dogwoods, cherry trees, lilacs, hyacinth, bluebells, tulips, just about everything was in bloom! it was incredible

it's already the roses season in my French garden.

I live in the midwest United States, and our first peony in our flower bed just bloomed! We just moved into the house in the fall, and sort of inherited the garden from the people who lived there before us. What we've seen growing thus far are mostly things like Ditch Lilies, a couple Bethlehem star flowers, the uncountable dandelions that irritate me to no end. But the peony has given me a smile this week. Smile

The lilacs are blooming all over our backyard right now, and the smell is just heavenly.

A few weeks ago, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. They looked amazing, but as always, didn’t last long. There are still a few tulips and daffodils around, but just the last ones since their time is pretty much over.
Our magnolia has already finished blooming too, but it looked great again this year.

Next, I’m looking forward to the hydrangea bushes, though they’ll still take a little while.

Lily of the valley is in bloom here now and it smells heavenly.

Lilacs!!! Everyday I wanna throw myself into a lilac bush.

There is a giant Magnolia tree at the entrance of my grocery store 🥰

@Mothula finally someone who feels similarly about lilacs, I wanna throw myself into all the lilac bushes too lol!!

Spring violets everywhere, in the woods and on the roadside (and they're not flowers, but I found some morels the other day!!)

And the viburnum by the front door 😍

Today I've learned that different varieties of iris have pretty distinct scents that differ a lot from each other. I've been familiar with the classic cold purple variety, but this year there's been a lot of warm purple and white ones in people's gardens, and a few were close enough to the sidewalk that I could smell them without breaking into someone's private property.

They're neat! The warm purple flavor is my favorite now. Perhaps I just was hungry, but they smelled almost edible... Yum.

@Ursaw I learned this recently too, and the ones blooming in my backyard smell a little like grape soda!

Sunflowers, star jasmine, roses, and lavender...

As far as wildflowers go, the big ones right now are trillium (left) and marsh marigolds (right).  Also, wild cherry trees and dandelions of course. No noticeable smell. In the flower bed, there still are some daffodils and tulips, depending on location. Bleeding hearts just started and columbines will be blooming in a few days.

In Tokyo, azalea season recently wrapped up and honeysuckles are just past their peak.  Now one of my neighbors has a jasmine bush blooming that smells incredible, ironically I tend not to go for jasmine in perfumes but this smells so much fresher and sweeter than the powdery artificial sort of jasmine smell I dislike.

On my walk home today I literally stopped and turned around wondering what I had just walked by that smelled so incredible, started sniffing around the area like a crazy person looking for what could be the source of the beautiful smell.  Turns out it was somebody's laundry exhaust pumping out some kind of wonderful fabric softener scent.  I guess I can't act like I'm too sophisticated for synthetics, huh?

Here, in Northeast Ohio, we've had a lot blooming!

A few weeks ago, all the different redbud varietals were blooming. They are so cute, with their heart shaped leaves and little pink flowers.

The cherry blossoms up at Wade Oval (where Cleveland's various museums and Botanical gardens are) were also in bloom about a month ago.

Right now, in our yard, we have irises and lilacs blooming. The scent of the lilacs is absolutely stunning.

Honeysuckle blooming season is also just about to end. Hoping i can find a native varietal on a hike to smell before the season ends.

We have coreopsis and spiderwort blooming in the yard, and in the woods the holly is in bloom. It's the first time I've noticed how nice holly flowers smell.

There’s a whole field of irisses blooming here! Beautiful blue, yellow and white ones. I took a sniff because I don’t know what the actual flower smells like and it smelled like….. well nothing really 🤣

I've never smelled an iris before, but I'm hardly surprised.

What is used in the perfume industry is actually obtained exclusively from the root of the iris. Nothing comes from the blossoms.

Aquilegia alpina L., (or Aquilegia vulgaris L.) in my photo album. Saw it yesterday.

When we moved into our home 7 months ago, there were many quite dead looking bushes and such around our house that the previous owner had planted. Now that summer in beginning, the two bushes in front of our home have bloomed into beautiful peonies! We've also discovered that we are growing a LOT of wild raspberry plants so those have begun to flower as well which means we have a lot of little honey bees around. <3

I smelled so many different rose bushes this morning... But cultivated flowers are honestly whatever.

Now wildflowers? Those are sick as hell. I can never get enough of them. Goat's beard is currently blooming out in the fields, and it's fantastic. Fascinating flower, looks absolutely alien. I never get tired of looking at them. And once they finish blooming and turn into giant dandelion-like puffballs? 10/10.

I absolutely adored the end of May here in North East Scotland. The weather has been amazing (the spring weather this year was better than summer weather last year!) and different types of flowers are blooming everywhere, so beautiful! At the moment there are irises, bluebells, lilacs, burnet roses, azaleas and peonies everywhere.
