I tend to enjoy jasmine more when it’s used in different ways rather than just being overly sweet.
Legesi Men Eau de Parfum
The jasmine here sits in the background, blended with lavender and woody notes. It gives a clean, slightly soapy and masculine touch rather than being floral-heavy, very wearable and classy.
Jasmin et Cigarette
Totally different vibe, this is a darker more artistic take on jasmine. It’s smoky, a bit edgy and has that unique tobacco-like twist that makes it stand out.
I still love 
Alien Eau de Parfum most.
I have some Jasmine Sambac absolute, and Alien somehow smells 80% similar to it, but more fantastical, futuristic and intoxicating. Some people hate the name, but I actually think it works; it is indeed an alien jasmine from a planet adjacent to ours, if that were possible. It's hyper-real, but also unapologetically amplified by synthetics.
Newer reLoreal-ations have flattened the expansive quality of it, and soapified the experience. It's still gorgeous, but it's less otherworldly now.
I've tested my old bottle alongside a newer sample, and I won't be discussing this further with any reform deniers or those who claim the change is insignificant.
I agree with all this 100% 👍 And happy to hear that there are still other Alien Eau de Parfum lovers out there 😍 I love the name and the bottle too. 👽 I'm so glad that I still have 2 backup bottles of older formulations from the 2010s because that's nostalgic for me, and I also think it's different even though I do like the newer version too (however it's definitely not the same even though it's still pleasant). 💜
It's so reassuring to be able to use it with abandon when you have backups 😊 I don't actually have a backup bottle, but I do have a pack of samples of it for som random reason, there are probably 10 there? So that's roughly 15 extra ml.

Jasmin Angélique has been my favorite jasmine recently. It’s a green-indolic cologne with a musk/incense base. Bright but also soft. Cool and warm. Not too sweet which I find challenging with may jasmines.

Another big fan of Alien Eau de Parfum here 🙋♀️. It was my signature scent when I was in my twenties (in my forties now), and I still have my bottle from back in 2006. It is an absolute powerhouse of a fragrance so I hope my 30 ml bottle (still half full after 20 years) will last the rest of my life 😅. One spray and I can feel it still on me the next day.
Jasmine is definitely one of my favourite notes and there are so many jasmine fragrances that I love. But of course there is only one Alien Eau de Parfum - nothing beats this gorgeous classic! It was one of those fragrances that made me very confused at first. When I first smelled it, I didn't understand the hype, and it took several years to fully understand its complex beauty which is indeed alien, so mysterious and fascinating. Now it's one of my top favourites of all time, and every time I smell it I'm mesmerized. It's the ultimate interpretation of jasmine to me.

Jasmin et Cigarette. Though there's nothing magical or mysterious about it. On the contrary, it's probably the most down to earth and mundane fragrance I own. It's warm in a way someone's dirty kitchen is, it's smoky like a stubbed out cheap cig, and the jasmine itself is perfumey and rather pissy.
...Which, admittedly, doesn't sound like a compliment when I write it all out, but I genuinely find it absolutely delightful. In fact, it's currently in top 3 of my most worn perfumes, lol.

Absolutely agree about Jasmine et Cigarette, it is a jasmine scent unlike any other! I personally think its magic lies exactly in how "down-to-earth" it is 🤍 It is one of the most underrated scents in my opinion (literally! 6.8/10 is absolutely outrageous! It should be at least 7.8/10)
My current new favorite jasmine scent is Sarrasins by Serge Lutens, which I have been avoiding for a long time because the notes made it seem boring 😀 but as fate would have it, I got a free sample of it recently. And when I tried it, I had a revelation! This scent is, on one hand, a nearly jasmine soliflore, heady and indolic to the point of absurd. On the other hand, it has an unexpected animalic aspect to it that lures me in and makes me want to smell it all the time 🖤 It is like a large feline predator lurking in the jasmine bushes on a hot and humid tropical night, I love it

I usually don't search for jasmine forward scents because I often find them too opulent, but I do like 
Gelsomini di Capri Eau de Parfum because it is not that opulent, airy and very natural smelling.

Cooling, creamy, fruity, indolic jasmine.

For a scent where jasmine is the star of the show, Jasmin et Cigarette without a doubt. For a scent where jasmine is more in the background but essential to bolster the other notes, I’d say Vanillary.
In both scents I love how the jasmine deepens the overall fragrance and puts other notes in relief. In Jasmine et Cigarette it underscores the honeyed fleshiness of the apricot note and the dirtiness of tobacco smoke. In Vanillary it adds just enough “skank” to keep things interesting and enhance the creaminess of vanilla.

That jasmine/cedarwood combo is so good. I no longer have my bottle, because I could never find a time to wear it. It felt way too classy for my style. But it is fantastic.

I absoluetly adore Jasmin et Cigarette because it just smells like dirty jasmine. I much prefer the dirty style than the clean or green like jasmine. Jean claude Ellena said that, growing up in Grasse, he associated jasmine with sweat from women picking it. He also said that for him, the most romantic scent a woman can smell is sweaty jasmine, I agree with him.
To comme back to jasmin et cigarette, it starts strong but fades quickly to become an ambery smell which I am not fond of.
Madagascan Jasmine and

Jasmin Antique. I can't wear it because it's very feminine, but it's a great, classic femme frag with intense Jasmine and just a bit of clove and musk.
