Hello all ! SOTD , ​from a decant, Bal d'Afrique Eau de Parfum by Byredo

Black Orchid Eau de Parfum. It's so relaxing... In the same way that being dominated by a beautiful yet irredeemably evil woman is.

Cool, silky iris with bergamot and lemongrass for the hot, humid weather in my city Iris de Malte.

I remember I tested it in store once and it was 5/5, very original and sophisticated. Repeated the tests any other day, and it was almost awful. 🤨

It has a uniquely poisonous flavor profile and a dry earthy texture of being buried still slightly alive after drinking it. It's fascinating, but (imo) needs to be experienced in moderation and in a rather particular mood. I save it for special occasions where I feel like that's exactly what I need ദ്ദി ( ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ )

Idk, everybody is different. I'm sure there are some people who feel comfortable wearing it daily, some who could easily spray it every other weekend, and some who won't be able to enjoy it no matter how many times they try. And that's okay.

In my case – yeah, it lays in its pretty box 99% of the time, and I may take it out a few times a year when I'm in a mood (or replaying BG3 and want my Minthara romance to be a 3D experience) and that's it ദ്ദി ( ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ )
