Another masterpiece from the Le Gemme line

This is stunning, the perfect amount of dry, rubbery oud and spicy resins to balance the boozy vanilla. There is absolutely something in this formula giving it brightness- almost like a tea note. Not too sweet for daytime/casual wear. Great longevity, not a room-filler but consistent ~2ft projection throughout the day.

To the folks who say this isn't unique enough to justify the price, I hear you- but you are not the target demographic. Sure, you can find vanilla/oud scents for less (albeit none that smell like Orom), but out of dozens of decants in this scent category none have matched the quality and effervescence of Orom.

Ok....

I was eager to try Orom, as I have smelled all other fragrances from the le Gemme line (except Kobraa!).
Well, my first impression is.... ok. It is quite soft and introvert, with an emphasis on a dusty oud, rather than vanilla. The vanilla is unmistakenly present, though. It reminds me of Mancera's Vanilla Oud.
This sure isn't a creamy gourmand, what I was hoping for. Not bad, but nothing special.

Masculine/winter...

First of all a great fragrance, it really took me a long time to classify all the notes, at first it was a leather bomb for me with a hint of wood and vanilla now a few hours later I have to say it has become very versatile. In the opening it is very masculine
i.e. smoky, woody, leathery, resinous and a little vanilla which rounds it off very well, the vanilla is just a small hint but has a big impact.

the fragrance shines with a super H/S that is simply perfect on the skin this lasts 12h+ and on the clothes a felt leap year... The fragrance always projects not too much and not too little. Flacon design is masterful think one of the most beautiful currently on the market, unfortunately just here and there small quality defects that are actually not worth mentioning but in view of the price are mentionable.

Definitely not a blind buy and also nothing for teenagers it is a very masculine fragrance therefore also rather less for women for that the vanilla is simply too weak...
but I think if you like hard masculine, woody fragrances you can't go wrong with it.

OROM I Perfectly balanced oud-vanilla-leather combo I Much more pleasing compared to Falkar & Onekh!

Finally - an oud fragrance from the Le Gemme collection that doesn't smell so synthetic and unbalanced. After my reviews of Le Gemme - Falkar and Le Gemme - Onekh, I was a little worried about Le Gemme - Orom. Worry was wrong - the Orom is a dream, and these are the reasons why:

- Le Gemme - Orom starts with a wonderful vanilla oud benzoin note, which is quickly followed by a soft leather. Everything smells perfectly coordinated, a real dream. Powerful, potent, yet cuddly.

- Warm sandalwood joins the fragrance train by train and the sweet vanilla note remains, but slowly fades into the background. The oud and the light leather remain in a beautiful melange on the sandalwood and provide an extremely pleasant, potent base in the drydown.

- The projection is very good, but not overpowering; in my opinion, such a beautifully balanced fragrance simply cannot be overpowering despite such good projection. Really top! The longevity is really brilliant - the fragrance lasts a long time, easily the whole day (10H)

To summarize, a really beautiful leather-oud-vanilla composition that is not as pungent and offputting as a Tuscan Leather Eau de Parfum nor as fruity as a "London | Widian / AJ Arabia" or Oud Maracujá, but simply elegant and perfectly balanced with the creamy vanilla, the light leather accord and the yet tamed oud.

The only thing that would stop me from making a blind purchase is the hefty price. So definitely try before you buy!
