BR540? No way.

First of all, I want to say that the resemblance to a myth like Baccarat Rouge 540 is distant and I find it quite unfair to relate both fragrances to each other.
Here we have a much more balanced creation, which gradually moves away from sweetness and becomes slightly vegetal green, orchard green, freshly cut grass green in a way. Something creamy emerges as the minutes pass as well.
At the very beginning it is vibrant, but that disappears in minutes.
It is elegant and very unisex, for any time.
Unfortunately, its performance is very poor. Absolutely far from BR540 in that aspect too, even in the most modern formulations.

I put the cap back on, put my head down in shame while while I walk back to my seat. Meanwhile the rest of my classmates pinch thier nose and my teacher pops an Ibuprofen from the scent

Pleasant touch of sweetness.

Trajan. But what an interesting discovery!
Trajan is actually an incredible perfume, especially for lovers of the well-known BR540.

To give you an idea, trajan contains a lot of similarities with Br540 in the EDP version but with a very prominent and sweet touch of Vanilla.
Opening very identical to BR540, which remains almost throughout the life of the perfume, ending up predominant in vanilla, which I feel is the same used in its brother Impirium from the same house.
Very pleasant, less cloying than the OG br540. a little more versatile and crystal clear.

Very good longevity and projection.

The smell of quiet luxury - easily 9/10

Every time I wear Trajan, I remember why I bought a bottle after one wear

It was one of my easiest perfume purchases
Trajan is a versatile must own, and is very underrated.
Electimuss and Trajan deserve more fuss

It’s an absolutely beautiful scent - airy blood orange balanced by saffron spiciness, creamy smoothness and rich, but not cloying, ambergris
Very high quality perfume blended perfectly - and it gives off excellent vibes while still being a bit slutty

I have a soft spot for interesting and versatile, as they are difficult to come by
So Trajan has a very special place in my collection

The longevity is excellent, especially for a citrus perfume that is light enough for summer. Easily 10 hours
Sillage is good, and wafts nicely, but it isn’t heavy or overpowering

I find most masc summer perfumes boring and simple, and they have horrible performance
This is slightly fem leaning but it’s a fantastic unisex perfume and one of my favourites for summer
Also it has the most beautiful bottle I own, and it was quite cheap

I love this stuff, easily 9/10

Personally I don’t like BR540, even the extrait
So I don’t really get the comparison to this outside of the blood orange

Almost Want To Gatekeep This

This is the third fragrance that I have deemed more than worthy of a full bottle purchase from the house of Electimuss. Black Caviar, Imperium, and now Trajan are all ridiculously good. Electimuss isn’t re-inventing the wheel as far as their scent profiles go, but they are taking famous DNA’s, adding their own unique twists, and actually making them better than their predecessors and competitors. And they are managing to do this all at a reasonable price for niche perfumery.

Yes, Trajan’s main DNA is BR540. However, Trajan starts off with a delicious blood orange and citrus notes that makes it a lot fresher and sets it apart. You then get that sweet caramelized cotton candy sweetness that you get from BR540 from the saffron and ambergris. But Trajan again does its own thing with some very noticeable oakmoss and cedar in the base, which makes it a little more masculine wearing than BR540.

Trajan is not a heavy projector, but it is definitely noticeable. With 4 sprays you are definitely getting smelled by those around you but you are not going to smoke them out of the room. It also hangs on skin and clothing for a very long time.

I know it’s only a matter of time before people start catching on to this one. It released in 2019, but it’s been a hidden gem for some reason. If someone asks me what I’m wearing, probably going to be telling them it’s BR540, Ariana Grande Cloud, or Mancera Instant Crush
