Opulence at its finest.
During this winter I’ve tried a lot of difference fragrances with Vanilla as principle figure.
Vanilla Edesia is one of the most powerful fragrance that I’ve tested. First of all it’s different from the vanilla fragrances on the market at the moment: if I could imagine something I will image as the opulence at the peack of the mountain. It’s like the moment when Carlo Magno becomes emperor!
It’s so warm, it’s open like a wild cumino very very soft and all the notes dancing all togheter… lait, vanilla, spices, Amande. You need just 2 spray and you will take all the scene around you for all the day. So be careful it’s simple get a headache… for this reason I really don’t know if In ready to wear this amazing pearl but of course is one of the parfume that stolen my attention.
Really overpriced but even so rare.

Unique Vanilla, in a Good Way
I had to sit with this a minute to appreciate it, but I certainly do. For the first 1-2 minutes, I was sure I'd made a mistake, but I didn't. The best way I can describe this is a dirty vanilla. It's a grown up Bianco Latte, heavier on the cumin, lighter on the sweet, plus some Other complex additions. I can understand why it's not mass appealing. It's definitely not for everyone, but I appreciate it and enjoy it. I think it's going to be a full bottle for me.

"Welcome to Electimuss, your order please!"
"Yes, I would like Vanilla Edesia and 12 liters of water, please." A good choice.

Well, lick me on the sweet spot! How can a liquid be so bone-dry? I could still forgive that alone, but that was just the vanilla! Added to that is a pepper, as if I had just snorted a line of cayenne straight to the brain.

Seriously: Vanilla Edesia is an absolutely bone-dry, dusty-peppery desert vanilla. Fiery, sweet, captivating. And now comes the twist: despite all that, it’s somehow creamy and just a tiny bit of leather and woods resonate. Yes, I smell all of that.

Just took a peek at the pyramid (Get it? Get it? Pyramid - desert - dry, you get it? Haha, pun!)... Cardamom? Yeah, no idea... fine by me. But bergamot, bitter almond, mandarin, and heliotrope? Uh. I couldn't blame anyone for not noticing any of that. In my olfactory center, the corresponding lights certainly don’t turn on.

But it doesn’t matter, because what is offered creates a synapse storm of the highest order. Sweet-comforting, yet peppery-spicy, leathery-woody, and so dry that it almost dries out your nose. Almost.

The longevity is very good; I wavered between an 8 and a 9, but then I didn’t want my enthusiasm to take precedence over honesty and decided on an objective 8. It lasts just as long in hours for me - up close even longer.

The sillage is a 6. - And that’s GREAT, because it just barely respects the boundaries of international law.

Yeah, yeah, I can already hear some whining: "Wow, wallah, I want Beast Mode!" - No. YOU - DO - NOT! Not here. Not with this.

Vanilla Edesia makes no prisoners, and even a Black Afgano Extrait de Parfum (I’ve written a review on that too) doesn’t create such an overbearing presence in my eyes. If you don’t like it, Edesia will take you in its gnarled claws, dry you out, and shred you like brittle papyrus. In short: a 6 sillage is already borderline here because you carry a Ring of Fire around you that simply burns everything. So, be careful how often you spray. More sprays don’t increase the intensity (because that’s already boundless), but primarily the sillage and projection. With three sprays, you’re easily at 5-6 meters in the office. If there’s air movement, feel free to spray more.

The bottle? Haha, I really don’t need to say anything. Clear 10 and an absolute benchmark for ALL others out there. Sure, the glass might not be Murano crystal glass, but this massive yet elegant piece is insane. If you’ve held this in your hand and then prefer to hold a Xerjoff, there’s no helping you :-)
So, if you’re a considerate wallflower, drink your water quietly, and only shower in the dark wearing swim trunks for reasons of modesty, you should quickly seek the exit here.

But if you have no problem riding an elevator with a legal, sprayable flamethrower and making new friends with a casual "Why are you wrinkling your nose?" on your lips, then Vanilla Edesia is highly recommended.
Certainly not a crowd-pleaser, but... God, is it good!

A Vanilla Dream You Don't Expect
Right from the opening, this is likely one of the most interesting, complex, and beautiful vanilla varieties I have ever tried. This is not a gourmet vanilla; there is warmth and sweetness due to the characteristics of the vanilla, yes, and the vanilla is very noticeable and distinctive, but here it is distinctly balsamic, resinous, and smoky. What makes it so special is the person who surrounds it, and for me, the three most important representatives are cumin, incense, and patchouli.

On the writing pad, I find the incense most prominent; it is a smoky, witchy vanilla that feels as if you have wandered into the coziest occult shop (where incense and candles are burning simultaneously), but on the skin, it opens up with the most beautiful cumin I have ever smelled in a fragrance. My problem with cumin as a fragrance ingredient is that it often feels superfluous; as if a perfumer added it to *add a hook*, or overdosed it specifically for the challenge. The cumin here is perfectly harmonized with coriander, and both feel essential. Cumin provides a pronounced, non-sweet kitchen spice, coriander, and cooling anise for the zest. A subtle yet endless patchouli sneaks in almost like a secret path into a kind of vanilla abyss, the bottom of which one will never reach.

And yet, despite all these nuances, there is something very *classic vanilla* about the whole thing. At some point, you reach the low point, the dry note, where a classic creamy, non-sweet, familiar vanilla remains that is simply and soothingly comforting.

Way too spicy and musty
Vanilla Edesia is the second fragrance I have tested from Electimuss, and like the first one, I am not completely convinced.
Both fragrances are by no means bad, but they simply didn't really excite me.

The opening is quite sweet, with heliotrope and incense being the dominant notes.
The incense vaguely reminds me of "Interlude Man | Amouage," but here it is less dominant and smoky.
The initial sweetness becomes a bit milder over time, and a spicy pepper note emerges.

Almost simultaneously, coriander and cumin join in, making the fragrance even spicier and, unfortunately for my nose, a bit musty as well.

Unfortunately, I search for the titular vanilla on my skin in vain.
However, I perceive it subtly in the air.
It doesn't smell particularly authentic and slightly reminds me of the vanilla from "Shaghaf Oud / شغف عود (Eau de Parfum) | Swiss Arabian," albeit in a more pleasant form.

I also perceive the leather note more in the air.
The same goes for the French centifolia absolute, which gives the fragrance a subtle rosy quality.

Ultimately, I would describe Vanilla Edesia as a rather spicy, subtly sweet, smoky, leathery, and slightly floral fragrance.
In my opinion, it is not an easy fragrance and definitely not entirely mass-appealing.

Performance
The longevity is good, but the sillage is only moderate.
I would have expected a bit more with notes like leather, incense, vanilla, etc.

Definitely a fragrance for both genders, although I see it more on a man (M60%/40%W).

Conclusion: For the price, I would definitely not buy it.
At times, it is too musty and spicy for me, and it is not a spice that I like.
I am sure that for the price, one can get something much better.

One of the finest in vanillas so far. A bit Lesquendieu style. Classy.

SWANA-region spiced vanilla over some wood. Powdery/creamy air to it, almost smells like makeup powder. Weak profile/performance.

Opens vanilla + green-herbal-spicy. Vanilla doesn't pop on-skin & the cumin dominates, final drydown is resinous. Performance doesn't wow.

Seems like they will let anyone make a bottle of scented water. This is poorly made and absolutely disgusting

Creamy smooth unsweet woody vanilla with masculine dry spice. Velvety smooth and masculine. No sweaty vibe. Grown up, niche, high end.

In the heliotropes
pepper rains
on creamed skin
one rolls around
with cumin sweat
in way too sweet vanilla
I’ve had enough!

So far, I've never tested a perfume that made me feel uncomfortable. This one did. After a few hours, the discomfort turned into nausea.

Burning spice rack & the dry woody vanilla still smolders in the melted plastic wrap, the rest is smoking in its final breaths…

Green vanilla sounds good, I thought...
I don't want to "say it," but I get sour pickles from it...

First sweet vanilla, then suddenly a very unpleasant sweat note that lingers. Not good at all.
