Definitely a unisex fragrance - an all round amazing Patchouli for those who dont like Patchouli
Patchouli is a polarising note in fragrances, I think it is because it is so often overdone. This is different though, its so perfectly balanced you don't pick out Patchouli in its usual form here but there is that eartthy resinous spicy quality that is definitely there at the heart of this fragrance.
This is one of my current favourites for sure!

Persephony's self-control
Imagine cardamom, coffee, plum, honey and patchouli being put together into a perfume. Each of these notes have such a strong character, that one would expect a thick and heavy winter fragrance. This Electimuss does so, but in a slightly different way.

Persephone's Patchouli opens with a fresh cardamon and warmer notes like plum and vanilla. It takes a while before the patchouli becomes noticeable. It has a velours-like dusty texture and a cleaner than usual profile. I get little to no earthy or funky parts. Possibly because it does not come with the big labdanum overdose that is done a bit too often nowadays. Underneath there are subtle hints of coffee and a woody-amber base sweetened by honey.

With all these bold flavours, Electimuss managed to achieve a delicate balance of freshness, warmth and elegance. But this paragon of perfumery skills places a such firm restraint on those bold vivacious characters. It kept me hoping for one of those individuals to lose its self-control and erupt in heretic madness. All stops out. Of course, that did not happen.

What a nice Patchouli!!!!
The blend of perfume and its components is a woven story told by the perfumer through his fragrance.

The fragrance depends on the patchouli note extracted from the heart of this plant. The patchouli is soft and clean, unlike the usual patchouli known for its roughness and somewhat sharpness.

The fragrance in the opening depends on Guatemalan cardamom, and moves to the middle with a beautiful patchouli note mixed with beautiful notes of Bulgarian rose.

To enhance the fruity part of the rose, the perfumer added notes of peach mixed with Egyptian jasmine, in addition to a wonderful gourmand touch of coffee and honey.

And with this beautiful aromatic plot, the perfumer added 6 grains of pomegranate to give the fragrance a wonderful touch of sweetness and sourness.

A wonderful and beautiful fragrance from Electimuss, easy to wear, suitable for all seasons, and the ingredients are mixed in a beautiful way,,,

something unique
Persephone, daughter of the goddess Demeter, a girl of enchanting beauty, was raptured by Hades, god of the underworld, who had fallen madly in love with her.
Her mother, goddess of crops, desperate and searching for her daughter, refused to let any form of nature grow on earth, bringing famine and dryness.
Because Hades would not let her go, a compromise was reached: for one half of the year Persephone would live in the underworld, for the other half on earth.
Thus were born the seasons : autumn and winter during times of distance from her mother, spring and summer during times of togetherness.
Persephone is divided between two worlds : the world above ground and the world below ground, represented by the olfactory notes of this perfume : a floral and fruity side alternating with the earthiness and depth of patchouli.
The result is a Patchouli that has been interpreted in an extraordinarily elegant and fresh way, losing its most incisive nuances to become something unique.
I really liked it.

Patchouli for People who don’t like Patchouli
This is a patchouli for people who don’t love patchouli. I used to really hate patchouli, and thought of it only as that really musty earthy funky kind of patchouli. This uses patchouli hearts, which has a very fresh, almost minty smell to it. The pomegranate gives it a slightly tart opening, which mellows into this cardamom spiced plum laced with honey. The cedar grounds it all and stops the plum or honey from ever being too sweet.
Amazing longevity, but it is a pure parfum so you’d expect it to outperform in that department.

After a fruity spicy-sweet opening, this warm and spicy floral-woody Mid season fragrance, settles to smooth spicy earthy-woody base. Unisex

Beautiful encounter between plum and pomegranate! A hint of jasmine, my only complain is that the coffee note is too weak.

Aromatic patchouli & fenugreek open, honey-led transition. Nothing like Kilian's STH - lacks the darkness/density, more like Serge Lutens.

Punished me first. Washed off w soap once. Then beautiful, complex and sweet. Retrieved from garbage. Worth the challenge.

Green, woody patchouli settles into a fruity, honeyed sweetness. Light florals lend a soft lift and dance with patchouli for the spotlight.

I can only describe this as "very pale patchouli and watered down honey". Dry-down is slightly floral sandalwood. No pomegranate in sight.

Persephone, as the goddess of fertility, loves Floral-Fruity; she has nothing to do with Patch, leaving that to her husband Hades.

Persephone is actually a gardener. She digs in moist soil, finds flowers, fruit, and a few spices. And she has a light honey scent.
