Unfinished perfume?

I heard bad stories and had red bad reviews about this scent when going into this one. That had already lowered my expectations drastically.

When I tried the fragrance, I immediately understood the reason why this might be one of the worst offerings from Xerjoff.

The fragrance smells unfinished, chaotic and disjointed. The opening gives you an apple blast but not with the right dose. The cardamom, which is in the mid of this fragrance, later on causes a very unpleasant reaction as well. It seemed to be miss-dosed and not cohesive with every other note used within this fragrance.

With 7 Xerjoff bottles, I am a huge fan of this house. Therefore, it pains me to write a bad review for the first time on this amazing Italian niche house. Truth, however, lasts the longest and thats why we must always stay honest in our reviews. A core value within the frag comm which sometimes gets forgotten...

lovely apple woody fragrance

I got amiable straight when it got released. I love the way it smells. Fresh green crisp apple accord vanishes to the background after few hours and beautiful wood and musks appear. It's not killer fruity as Erba Pura which Is a good thing, frankly I am so tired of the pale blue beast, smelling it on every corner lately. Amabile is more refined, less screechy take on fruity. Woody heart is very unique and long-lasting. It is a soft scent but don't mistaken it for being timid. It projects as well as other Xerjoffs, simply composition is more calm and less bling bling.

Fall time carnival

There is so much hate for this one, but I wonder how it performed on their skin. It starts off smelling like a bowl of Trixx cereal. Then it turns into powdery lemon that you would get from funnel cakes or Little Debbie coffee cakes. Then the scent of the Fall breeze and caramel golden delicious apples kicks in. Here and there the Trixx cereal and powdery lemon comes and goes. One of the most unique works of art I've ever come across. It has this carnival and ren faire feel to it. The hate it gets almost made me not get a full bottle, but I admired it's unique scent profile. Maybe it didn't perform well as a Summer perfume? It lasts well over a day in the Fall. No nasty dry down like a lot of other perfumes. It maintains it's beauty. Definitely a great transition from warm weather Fall to a mild Winter.

Sour Apple Candy

Why are dark, demanding fragrances always rated better than fresh ones? Can't you sometimes appreciate the simple things in life?

The fragrance opens with a dominant green apple note. Playful and tingling, it clearly makes itself noticed. The whole thing is accompanied by a pleasant sweetness. What I already liked about PdM Greeley is continued here.

The aroma is very linear, which is not a bad thing per se. Longevity and sillage more than acceptable. The bottle looks exactly like it smells - bright green.

What I don't quite understand are the many negative reviews - it smells more like a designer, yes, and it might be a bit expensive, but it's up to you. But there is also the price/performance classification.... which, by the way, is worse than Roja Diaghilev or Purple Accento, well....

I think it's a great contrast to many oriental stinkers, because it goes in a completely different direction, which is what makes Xerjoff so interesting for me

Polished green

This smells exactly like the bottle is looking. It's green apple, fizzy fruits, bit of tartness from fruit. I detect mango and papaya very intensely. Underneath the fizziness is more serious stuff going on. Something smelling of dried wood, musk, ambrette and non-sweet vanilla. It's a great release. Will be getting it for the summer.
