A fragrant but weak lavender scented water
Many thanks to Sören for the bottling of Eau de Lavanda :-) Actually, I don't think this fragrance is that bad, but at first I have to think of a mosquito repellent spray. Unfortunately, no real fragrance develops here, because the whole thing doesn't smell for 2 hours on my skin. The sillage may be briefly recognizable, but then quickly fades with the fragrance.
The top note starts off alcoholic and medicinal with a strong dose of lavender. This makes me think of an insect repellent spray for the skin. This is followed by bergamot and rosemary, so I start to like the fragrance. In the heart note, clary sage reinforces this herbaceous and lavender-like impression. The base is so weak that, despite the fragrance pyramid, I find it very difficult to pinpoint anything. The closest thing would be something herbaceous and mossy.
In the end, the piece didn't really convince me. Nevertheless, it was an exciting blend of a chypre and fougère fragrance with a subterranean performance.
