White Iris

Primarily a white floral with a pale gold aura, Iris Nobile manages to be both opulent and elegant at the same time. Its opulence is apparent in the three most detectable notes besides the eponymous: tuberose, vanilla and ylang-ylang. The elegance is in how artfully those oft heavy, cloying notes are measured into chorus, the only casualty being the tuberose taking on a rather waxy aspect.

If like me you find the best indicator of a quality perfume is how well its strong notes are balanced, I can assure you that, just like its bottle, Iris Nobile remains tasteful.

The EDP is strong but radiates only a small distance.

for the EDP. If you like Mitsouko and older Guerlains you might rate this. In short I find it a hybrid of Mitsy and Annick Goutal's Passion. I believe it was designed to be full on, in your face, Portofino rich, take no prisoners, BOLD. I tried wearing less of it but it's pedal to the metal in the same way that Mitsouko, or Amarige is. A quality perfume to be sure but yet another 'challenging' fragrance. Seems best in a warm climate. Not a comfort scent for winter at all. Young women looking for an contemporary Iris might try Burberry Brit Rhythm.

Purple Gold

Acqua di Parma Iris Nobile edp is as rich as its golden color and its purple packaging portend. The composition features orris, not iris petals, so it's important to know this, since someone looking specifically for the flowers, not the roots, of the iris plant may be disappointed. On the other hand, anyone looking specifically for orris is bound to enjoy this creation, which has big sillage and great longevity in this, the eau de parfum concentration.

Many non-iris notes are also listed for Iris Nobile, and the overall creation is thick and and viscous feeling without being very sweet. To my nose, the various notes blend together fairly seamlessly, and the composition is pretty linear. The woody quality contributes a great deal to its unisex demeanor, but I suspect that some fellows still might find this perfume a touch too feminine.

As far as other iris perfumes are concerned, Iris Nobile lies much closer to the Ormonde Jayne orris perfume and the Yves Rocher Iris Noir, although I think that the quality is much closer to the former than the latter. This is certainly a dark and substantial iris perfume, not a light and fluffy one à la Prada Infusion edt or edp.

The name correctly suggests that this perfume conveys a noble quality. It shimmers in its bottle as on this skin, and while it seems glamourous, it is not a cheap, superficial glamour. There is real depth to this creation, which is a complete and utter pleasure to wear.

Wonderful Chypre

I dance around my sampler already for weeks and test or carry him constantly.
With such a distinctive flower smell I move also on different ways. Yes, but perfumo brings me up to date again and again.

The lemon notes starting strongly. Iris shows unobtrusively and softly.
I follow Medusa, in the base a little powdered , this darkness and easily spicily already describes.
Everything happens quietly and calmly.
The base is nice and woody, soft and warm. I am pleased that he sticks to me for many hours.

I feel accompanied wonderfully with this wonderful Chypre.
The list of things desired grows. Thank to Snoopy.

Mysterious, wonderful, exciting

Iris Nobile Sublime, the regal new scent from Acqua di Parma, is every bit as sublime as the flower it takes its name from. The elegant, historically rich purple iris, one of the enduring icons of Italian culture and the fine fragrance house itself, is reflected in every facet of the Iris Nobile Sublime when i use it i fee Mysterious, wonderful, exciting :)
