Great Blue Fragrance for 2025

I'm not really sure how I found this fragrance, especially considering this fragrance came out 3 years ago and blue fragrances aren't as popular nowadays. I've never owned something like Bleu De Chanel or Dylan Blue since I have lots of friends that own these and prefer having unique fragrances. I had pretty low expectations for this and I don't think it actually smells like a clone of either of those, but definitely in that Sauvage/BDC family. This is actually my favorite out of all of those, it's more unique, and has a more citrus/musky smell where something like Club De Nuit Iconic is softer and a little more powdery. If you prefer a smoother fragrance maybe you won't like this as much but personally I love it and hope Afnan comes back to build off this DNA somehow.

A Nice Everyday Fragrance

Historic Olmeda is quite a lovely scent for everyday wear.
This fragrance can actually be worn at any time. It doesn’t do anything particularly special, but it’s also not completely boring. It is fresh, pleasantly spicy, has a green touch, and possesses woody facets. It has certain traits of a BDC, as well as, over time, some of an Aventus.

The scent starts off greenish, with a bit of zesty grapefruit, slightly peppery, and especially with juniper. I find the juniper note to be quite intense.
Additionally, a certain spiciness can already be felt.
It somehow feels typically designer-like, but not in a bad way.
As time goes on, the apple also comes through better.
Juniper remains present for me as well.

All in all, it is a fundamentally solid fragrance that you can wear anytime. Especially if you like scents like Bleu de Chanel, Historic Olmeda would be a good choice, and moreover, hardly anyone knows it.

Longevity and sillage are okay.
I tend to see the fragrance more for men, but it’s still good for women to wear.

A rainy...

... late summer day, I stand on the terrace and enjoy the freshly washed air. I hold my coffee in my hand and am glad that I don't have to water the garden today, but that dear Mother Nature has taken care of it for me.

Upon applying this fragrance, the nose first detects a light citrus freshness that blends with a slight sharp spicy note. Additional citrus accords and floral notes come into play. The whole composition is enriched by the green of the apple. The patchouli adds a bit of dryness to the scent, while the musk gives it a powdery quality. It is a masculine fragrance.

The longevity and sillage are good.

This is a masculine fragrance suitable for all age groups and any occasion throughout the year. I do not see this scent for women. I find it too masculine for the female world.

Those who enjoy a fresh spicy woody fragrance will find this to be a great choice.
