A suble carn...for the discriminating few!

Insiders tell me that carnatiion is out of favor these days. Tant pis! (more for the rest of us loyal fans - you're listening to a girl who grew up on Bellodgia)

This beauty opened up ona slightly citrusy and floral note with the under-thrum of dusty carnation. I'm especially susceptible to labdanum which is present from top to bottom - a nice underpinning for the spiciness of the carnation and the hint of sandalwood. Trust JazzLady to reclaim a classic!

The Cloves in Nettie's Garden

As you enter Nettie's clove garden, herbs of various kinds swirl around you like fireflies, pepper, clove, and cinnamon shake giggling fragrant droplets quickly onto honey-sweet citrus fruits, which slowly extinguish like lanterns in the warm evening orange light.
Still confused by the spicy Jaffa cake, you begin to search for flowers in the garden, and after a few minutes, you find yourself groping in the fading evening light among the giggling fireflies. Under the clove-cinnamon fog wall, aromas of flowers amalgamate rapidly like colors in slide films that were previously stuck in a slide projector, now bursting, overlapping, and merging into balsam plants that nourish themselves from sweet resins, granting a glimpse into plant soil also rooting in wax and vanilla.
Soon they solidify into scent formations of beeswax in Nettie's garden realms, diffusing for another two to three hours, the giggling fireflies have long since disappeared. Overall, the stroll was a five-hour journey, always pleasantly close and quiet.
So it is the cloves in Nettie's garden, a spiced clove honey on flowers to guess.
