A suble carn...for the discriminating few!

Insiders tell me that carnatiion is out of favor these days. Tant pis! (more for the rest of us loyal fans - you're listening to a girl who grew up on Bellodgia)

This beauty opened up ona slightly citrusy and floral note with the under-thrum of dusty carnation. I'm especially susceptible to labdanum which is present from top to bottom - a nice underpinning for the spiciness of the carnation and the hint of sandalwood. Trust JazzLady to reclaim a classic!

The carnations in Nettie's garden

When you enter Nettie's clove garden, herbs of various kinds such as fireflies, pepper, cloves and cinnamon shake giggling fragrant droplets quickly onto honey-sweet citrus fruits, which slowly go out in the warm, orange light like lanterns.
Still confused by the spicy Jaffa cake, you start looking for flowers in the garden, and after a few minutes you find yourself groping in the fading evening light between the giggling fireflies. Under the clove-cinnamon wall of fog, aromas of flowers amalgamate rapidly like colours in flow slides, which were previously left stuck in a slide projector, which now burst into each other at random, overlap, merge into balsam plants, which feed on sweet resins, giving an insight into plant soil, also rooted in wax and vanilla.
Soon they solidify into scented beeswax formations in Nettie's garden plots, and so continue to emit their scent for two to three hours, the giggling fireflies have long since disappeared. All in all, the tour was a five-hour journey, at all times pleasantly close and quiet.
So the carnations in Nettie's garden are a clove honey on flowers for guessing.
