A versatile Cambodian aged Oud
Incredibly dense, it is a beautiful green and woody oud with almost fruity hints. There are thick, bitter floral notes—I’d say that the overall composition is dark, but not dry. The aging of the oud is noticeable, yet fresh, green whiffs undoubtedly dominate the overall composition (probably from the Davana).
The floral aspect feels rather “decadent” and melancholic but the peach accord is a genius touch that lifts the tone of the composition with a slightly fresh and fruity nuance. After a few hours on the skin, it turns more into aged wood, with a slightly stale effect, which is typical of the aged oud itself. There are no animalic facets here at all.
A very pleasant and versatile attar, with the always amazing quality from Areej le Doré. A really beautiful discover!
