You would think that you would get smarter over time and have learned that blind buying is not always recommended...
Since I am not able to learn in this context anyway and my collection is "not yet big enough", it happened again... my ordering finger had a Tourettes attack again and so it happened that Plumeria de Orris now joins my collection...
Of course, the pyramid was analysed in detail beforehand, the existing reviews were read through in detail and more research was done on the internet...
I'm not really a big fan of sweet floral scents. And fruits I also very rarely like in a fragrance...
Well, I guess my brain took a break that day and put my mind on ice for a while... because if you look at the pyramid and also the reviews of Plumeria de Orris here on Parfumo, the fragrance is described exactly the same way... fruity, sweet with flowers :-o
Well, the next day I was wondering what exactly happened, but ordered is ordered and now we had to wait...
When the package arrived, I had to give in to my sceptical curiosity immediately and test the scent...
The scent starts very dull with me, the flowers are there, but they seem to be only a kind of "accessory" and buzz in the background...
...the flowers are wafting with a powdery and very delicate sweetness... not sticky or kitschy (*froh-bin*)
The frangipani now appears a little more clearly and the dullness combines with the delicate powdery nature of the iris...
It's all becoming a little bit more... Frangipani almost seems to caramelise, but still not sticky or kitschy, but rather sublime with tender, adult sweetness... The apricot doesn't really show itself in my case (*froh-bin*)
In the later course, the powdery, delicately sweet frangipani is accompanied by soft wood sounds
Vanilla is now also clearly recognizable and puts something on top in terms of sweetness.
In the end, the still sweet frangipani with soft civet kisses and a little myrrh can be found again...
Phew, I just "got away" again ;-) hahaha, I was afraid of the sweetness and the fruitiness, but everything was "half as wild" :-)
The fragrance is really very well done, even if I had hoped for the civet to be a little clearer and more distinctive... in the end I am very satisfied with this blind purchase :)
Regarding the durability, the fragrance lasted for about 7.5 hours, even if in the end it was only rather close to the skin...
Sillage is not too intense, just right for the office :-)
