Embrace of an Angel
An exceptional scent which can be felt as an embrace with the angel wings. This is the best idea of romantic and tender love, that gives all you need without pretending and reproaches. It whispers and enchants with the scent of an unconventional mimosa. The notes of leather are so extremely gentle, like velvet, they caress the senses making you feel a real soothing touch and a barely hinted desire for a sweet intimacy.

Nice and natural scent but bad performance!
I loved the scent at first but later I found out the performance is bad. I bought it because I loved the scent at the counter but the more I wore it, the more frustration I had for it. It only lasted 3 hours MAX. I had to keep reapplying it thru out the day. Then I started looking for better quality niche fragrances (yea, I don’t like designer fragrances). This started me get addicted to the good fragrances (Initio, Kilian, MFK, Nishane, Frederick Malle, Roja, etc). They hurt my bank but after you tried the Atelier Cologne, you would know how to appreciate these good fragrances. Any of these brands would last double longer on you and most importantly, more unique scents. I thought Atelier Cologne was unique but NO, compare to these brands but it does use most of the natural ingredients and very well blended. Now I only use it as a room scent since I really want to finish the bottle. It smells good and the quality is good (since it smells so natural) but the performance frustrates me a lot.

Linear, but beautiful
Mimosa Indigo... This one won't be tested on a paper strip. I only have a small vial of approximately 2 or 3 ml and nothing can go to waste! Atelier Cologne has been pulled from my local stores and Mimosa Indigo is nowhere to be found online either, unless I order from abroad. It's safe to say, that these are golden drops.

It was mother's day last Sunday and I had to smell a whole lot of fragrances for the customers. All of them designer and not my taste. I came home with a tremendous headache, which I rarely have. The other day I was trying out Midnight Saffron, which also gave me a headache, and today, Mimosa Indigo has done the same. Reaching back in my memory, it never had, so I will not fault this fragrance. I have just smelled too many fragrances in a short frame of time.
As I remembered, Mimosa Indigo is a rich, elegant fragrance of leather. Charming, deep, seductive, but also daring. I don't see many wearing this casually! The leather is not too invasive, but it is strong. It smells like fresh leather. A handbag newly stocked on a store shelf.

Besides a faint note of musk and mimosa, Mimosa Indigo is a pure leather fragrance. Unisex and gorgeous. You need to try it if you can! It is also worth saying that the fragrance is quite linear, it doesn't change much, on my skin, after dry down.

Oriental Collection Part 3
Just like with Poivre Electrique, the journey through the fragrance notes continues here with great enthusiasm.. One would have to be a sales representative for Atelier Cologne;-)! But they can do it.. They create images of the exquisite fragrance notes. It fits this oriental tour across 5 scents perfectly.. I enjoy the mental cinema:-)! I already described my "reality" in Poivre.
When I read the name, it was already in the "women's fragrance" drawer... yes, no one likes them, but one (I) needs them.. well, the drawers. As someone once beautifully said, order in the closet/basement, order in the mind;-)!
Anyway.. the little mimosa starts off wonderfully citrusy, authentic as ever, they master this incredibly well, with Monotheme being the masters of citrus fruits for me. Zesty, fresh, slightly sour.. you almost have a Schweppes face! So everything as usual if you follow the brand more closely! After that, the scent quickly becomes sweet-powdery; unfortunately, I don't know how mimosas smell, but it has a floral, slightly sultry scent. For me, exactly 2 notes dominate, an almond-coconut note, no Bounty note, more like Virgin Island Water, not unlike the coconut milk when cooking in a wok, as it has that creamy touch. The second note that stands out is leather in a very fine quality; it is a bit weaker than the coconut note (which is not listed), but it has a noticeable influence. I'm not really a leather fan and connoisseur, but here it flatters the nose very much, noble, spicy.. nothing creaks.. Nappa in its finest form, not unlike White Suede.. which is currently my favorite leather scent.
In the base, I'm not sure what I'm smelling; it could be vanilla or (Mysore) sandalwood, I wasn't sure with Dries van Noten either, but it creates a delicious blend. "Delicious" is often a synonym for sweet treats for me, and it definitely goes in that direction here. Here at the latest, the scent clearly drifts into the women's camp (drawer closed!) and remains there for me until the end.
The longevity is very good at 6-7 hours; on a paper towel, the scent was still noticeable this morning, so after over 36 hours. The sillage is above average and well chosen. For me, it's currently the wrong season due to the sweetness, but cooler spring, autumn, and winter should fit very well here. For me, however, it is so far the weakest from the Oriental Collection (Tobacco Nuit and Poivre Electrique).. but at a high level!

a true collector's piece
As a confirmed fan of mimosa, I was very pleased to receive the sample "Mimosa Indigo" that Angelliese included in her letter.
Yes, I love this delicate-sweet yet slightly bitter scent that the dark yellow beads emit; I can easily spend hours under blooming acacia trees, enjoying their fragrance.

So I dared to embark on a "blind tasting."
I wasn't personally familiar with Atelier Cologne, having only read one or two comments about their fragrances.

I sprayed quite generously (Mimosa - what could possibly happen!) and was immediately greeted by a strong mixture of white leather soaked in a generous portion of musk!
Phew! I had to take a breath and keep some distance.
(With short arms, this is anything but easy!)
Slowly, the restrained yet noticeable freshness of mandarin and bergamot began to emerge.
And finally, I also encountered the noble, always somewhat muted saffron - a fine addition.
Unfortunately, this valuable scent note is heavily dominated here by leather and musk. What a pity!
The same goes for the usually quite rich lilac; it only dares to surface very shyly - it peeks around the corner!
Even my beloved mimosa rarely manages to assert itself against these two alpha scent beasts.
Every now and then, I can just about recognize it; it too seems to have resigned.
The warmth of vanilla and the always somewhat quirky spicy sandalwood attempt, more or less successfully, to defend their places in this fragrance composition.

"Mimosa Indigo" is a very idiosyncratic blend with a skillfully rounded sillage and sufficient longevity.
It successfully resisted being washed away and still lingered with me for some time.

Atelier Cologne has created an interesting and surely welcome scent symphony here for lovers of fine leather fragrances.
The unisex classification seems justified to my nose.

For such a delicate and lady-like elegant woman as I am, "Mimosa Indigo" is not suitable at all.
I felt like I was in costume; it didn't get any better after several attempts.
Even when I, having become cautious from experience, sprayed a bit less exuberantly.

This mimosa-leather creation could become an absolute collector's piece.
Unfortunately not for me!
Therefore: thank you very much, dear Angelliese, for allowing me to test it; but this will be another "wandering sample"!

Soft, bright, subtle leather and delicate vanilla flowers on a creamy clean musk base. As uncomplicated as it is pleasant to wear.

A relatively classic scent. Mimosa and soft suede in the foreground on a powdery-creamy base. Wears pleasantly.

There's a coconut hiding in there!

I, Mimosa, still don't like
any Mimosa ;)
Subtle musk-leather in the base ... nice!

Mimosas & leather have a cheerful encounter. First green, surprisingly unsweet flowers, followed by coconut, synthetic note. LEATHER

I'm in love! Finest light leather with mimosa and lilac. Creamy, elegant, beautiful! Almost better than White Suede, more feminine, great!

Fine light leather with a special note, somehow reminds me of Geste by Humiecki & Graef. Very unique scent.

Musk-heavy mimosa elegantly nestled on leather: interestingly combined with international fragrance notes. A "treat for the nose" for leather lovers!
