Dark Instincts
Actually, I am a friend of instincts - that is, gut feelings - because they are often more sensible than reason.
Surprisingly.

Because as they say: When heart and head are at odds - the head says: The wiser one gives in.
I can sing a song about that.

And when you translate First Instinct as "first impression," it is not exactly positive after the first spray.

Something dark jumps at me - and deepens into a cellar smell where potatoes are stored.
Moldy-musty somehow.
Now I would need the indicated air accord - because this is running short for me.
Something woody still reaches my nose - most likely the wooden potato crate.
I cannot distinguish any other ingredients.

My "First Instinct" is a flight instinct - crowned by a compulsion to wash.

This was my first Abercrombie that I tested - but I will give the other fragrances from this label a chance.

For pygmies who still need something to dip the
arrowhead in.
Poisonous lily of the valley kills everything in the vicinity.

The scent takes a while to develop, but then it's so beautiful!
It smells like the Dsquared Wood fragrances or Knot by Bottega Veneta.

Heavy orange blossom shield with neroli and lily of the valley. Initially intrusive and scratchy, it later becomes a bit sweeter. Not my thing.

Creamy, airy, bright summer scent - bergamot and orange blossom dominate, and I smell neroli... like it, need to test again.
